Digital System Resources, Fairfax, Va., is being awarded a $10,453,108 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for 47,096 staff hours of Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Phase III research and development, systems engineering, and analysis support to support the Navy's initiative to accelerate the pace of torpedo performance improvements. This contract contains options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $47,514,124. Work will be performed in Fairfax, Va. (64 percent); State College, Pa. (32 percent); and Austin, Texas (four percent), and is to be completed in November 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-03-C-6100).
MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY
SPARTA Inc. is being awarded a cost-plus fixed-fee contract for $37,160,881 over a five-year period of performance. This contract supports the deputy for Force Structure Integration and Deployment by providing assistance to match emerging Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) capabilities with existing and future warfighter needs; integration, transition and delivery of BMDS capabilities to the warfighters, technical program management, engineering analysis and exercise assessments. Work will be performed both at the Missile Defense Agency in Arlington, Va., and off-site, to include locations in support of exercises. The contract will be funded by research and development appropriations applicable to the fiscal year 2002; contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Missile Defense Agency is the contracting activity (HQ0006-03-C-0002).
