DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Coastal Pacific Food Distribution, Inc.*, Stockton, Ca., is being awarded a $37,300,000 indefinite-delivery type contract for full line food distribution for the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and federal civilian agencies in Japan, Singapore and Diego Garcia. This contract is a base year contract with four one-year option periods. Work will also be performed in Yokohama, Kanzaki-gun, Tsurumi-ku, Saga-ken, and Singapore, Japan. The performance completion date is scheduled for February 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 244 proposals solicited and nine responded. The contracting activity for this contract is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (SP0300-03-D-3046)

IVAX Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Miami is being awarded a $6,418,445 firm-fixed-price with indefinite-quantity type contract for albuterol metered dose inhalers with mouthpiece for the DoD and Veteran's Affairs. Work will also be performed in Waterford, Ireland. The performance completion date is scheduled for Nov.12, 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 15 proposals solicited with two responses. The contracting activity for this contract is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (SP0200-03-D-1512)

General Electric Co., Division General, Lynn, Mass., was awarded a $7,188,248 firm-fixed-price type contract for parts for aircraft engines to include a variety of 47 different parts for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Marine Corps on Nov. 12, 2002. This contract is to execute a modification to General Electric Aircraft Engines. It has a two-year base period and three two-year option periods for a potential of ten years, for a requirement type contract, for sole source, commercial national stock numbers with GE CAGE Codes 99207, 07482, and 03350. Work will also be performed in Cincinnati. The performance completion date is scheduled for March 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-solicitation contract. The contracting activity for this contract is the Defense Supply Center Richmond, Va. (SP0400-00-D-9403)

AIR FORCE

L3 Communications, Salt Lake City is being awarded a $19,254,557 cost-plus award-fee contract to provide for multiple platform common data links concept and technology development, two air units, and one ground unit. This system will support transmission and receipt of data between ground facilities and multiple air vehicle platform. At this time, $4,461,085 of the funds has been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be completed by March 2005. Solicitation began June 27, 2002 and negotiations were completed Nov. 7, 2002. The Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity (F33657-02-C-5411).

NAVY

Science Applications International Corp., Technology Services Corp., San Diego is being awarded a $14,240,487, cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for support of emerging navigation systems and technologies for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance system technologies. This contract will include identification of requirements and program planning/execution necessary for implementation and evaluation of these emerging technologies. This contract includes options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $24,451,463. Work will be performed in San Diego (94 percent) and Los Angeles (6 percent), and is to be completed by November 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured under solicitation number N66001-02-R-5021, through the Federal Business Opportunities Web site and the Space & Naval Warfare Systems Command e-Commerce Central Web site. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego is the contracting activity (N66001-03-D-5010).
