AIR FORCE

Raytheon Aircraft Co., Wichita, Kan., is being awarded a $169,987,608 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for Lot X option exercise; Joint Primary Aircraft Trainer System T-6A Production Aircraft Lot X - FY2003; technical manuals and updates (one); instrument flight trainer (four); unit training device (one). The total funds have been obligated. Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-01-C-0022).

DEFENSE ADVANCED RESEARCH PROJECTS AGENCY

BAE Systems North America, Nashua, N.H., is being awarded a $3,950,000 increment of a $59,977,817 modification to an other transaction for prototypes agreement for the Adaptive Joint C4ISR Node Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration. Work will be performed in Nashua and is to be completed by Nov. 24, 2007. Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a limited competition with bids solicited from the two participants in the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Adaptive C4ISR Node program. DARPA is the contracting activity (MDA972-00-9-0009).

NAVY

Symetrics Industries*, Melbourne, Fla., is being awarded a ceiling-priced $34,482,060 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for the procurement of four first article and 204 Patriot Missile single and dual-frequency telemetry kits for the U.S. Army (two first article; 55 kits) and the governments of Japan (two first article; 98 kits), Saudi Arabia (50 kits), and Greece (one kit) under the NATO Maintenance and Supply Agency Flight Support Foreign Military Sales Program (NAMSA FMS). Work will be performed in Melbourne and is to be completed in November 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured under a request for proposals, with five proposals solicited and five offers received. The first delivery order under this contract combines purchases for the U.S. Army (37 percent) and the governments of Japan (33 percent); Saudi Arabia (29 percent); and Greece (1 percent) under the NAMSA FMS Program. The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, Calif., is the contracting activity (68936-02-D-0046).

General Dynamics Decision Systems, Scottsdale, Ariz., is being awarded a cost-plus-award-fee contract to migrate AN and USC-61 Digital Modular Radios to Joint Tactical Radio System and Software Core Architecture version 2.2 compliance. Work under this contract will be performed in five increments. Increment One has a not-to-exceed value of $5,300,000 and will be incrementally funded for $2,600,000. The remaining increments and funding will be awarded upon definitization. The entire contract has an estimated value of $24,831,189. Work will be performed in Scottsdale and is to be completed by November 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was procured on a sole-source basis. This requirement was synopsized in Federal Business Opportunities Web site with one offer received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego is the contracting activity (N00039-02-C-2204).

General Dynamics, Advanced Information Systems, Greensboro, N.C., is being awarded a $20,962,286 cost-plus-award-fee, firm-fixed price contract for FY03 Air Area Defense Commander (AADC) engineering support services and the low-rate initial production of two AADC Capability systems. This contract is to provide for 69,962 hours of engineering support services in FY03. The contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $45,069,185. Work will be performed in Greensboro and is to be completed by October 2004. Contract funds in the amount of $859,627 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-03-C-5438).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., St. Louis is being awarded a $12,412,400 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00421-02-C-3236) to exercise an option for engineering, maintenance services, and limited manufacturing support for flight test programs conducted at Navy Air Test and Evaluation Squadron-Two Three (VX-23) in support of the F/A-18 Aircraft Program. Work will be performed in Patuxent River, Md. (80 percent); St. Louis (8.4 percent), Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii (4.6 percent); Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., (3.5 percent), China Lake, Calif. (3.5 percent) and is to be completed in December 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River is the contracting activity.

Honolulu Shipyard Inc., Honolulu was awarded a $5,919,000 firm-fixed-price modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-02-D-8506) for the Docking Selected Restricted Availability for USS Hopper. Work will be performed in Honolulu and is to be completed by March 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, U.S. Navy, San Diego Detachment Pearl Harbor, Hawaii is the contracting activity.

Seaward Services Inc.,* Dania Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $5,257,379 ceiling-priced modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00421-01-C-0078) to exercise an option for operation and maintenance support for the Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Key West Detachment. Work will be performed in Key West, Fla., and is to be completed in November 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Cummins Engine Company Inc., Columbus, Ind., was awarded a delivery order amount of $6,089,355 as part of a $6,089,355 corporate requirements contract for 85 Cummins diesel engines for use in the Marine Corps Amphibious Assault Vehicle on Nov. 22, 2002. Work will be performed in Columbus and is to be completed by Nov. 30, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on March 7, 1996. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-96-D-T024).

PEI Electronics Inc., Huntsville, Ala., was awarded a delivery order amount of $2,802,803 as part of a $5,673,741.77 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Contractor Depot Support for Direct Support Electrical System Test Set, M1A2 Abrams, and USMC Light Armored Vehicle - General Purpose Interface Assembly on Nov. 22, 2002. Work will be performed in Huntsville and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Feb. 11, 2000. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAE20-98-G-0004).
