DEFENSE LOGISITCS AGENCY

Cardinal Health, Inc. d/b/a Cardinal Distribution, Dublin, Ohio, is being awarded $352,909,352 firm-fixed-price type of contract for pharmaceutical and medical services for Tricare for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, and the U.S. Air Force. Work will also be performed in New York, Massachusetts and New Jersey. The performance completion date is March 31, 2005. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was an Internet solicitation with three responses. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (SP0200-03-D-1650).

NAVY

Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock Co., Newport News, Va., is being awarded a $143,103,367 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification for FY03 advanced planning and material procurement for the refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH) of the USS Carl Vinson. Work will be performed at Newport News (97 percent) and Puget Sound, Wash. (3 percent), and is to be completed by November 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-01-C-2103).

General Electric Aircraft Engines, Lynn, Mass., is receiving a $10,845,049 ceiling-priced order contract for procurement of low pressure turbine nozzle segments used on the F-404-400 engine on the F/A-18 aircraft. Work will be performed in Lynn and is to be completed August 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the contract ordering period. The contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia is the contracting activity (N00383-00-G-00001) (0422).

Northrop Grumman Corp., Bethpage, N.Y., is being awarded a $25,000,000 ceiling-priced, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the production of three sets of outer wing panels for the EA-6B aircraft. Work will be performed in St. Augustine, Fla. (70 percent) and Bethpage (30 percent), and is to be completed in December 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-03-C-0012).

Northrop Grumman Corp., Electronic Sensors and Systems Sector, Rolling Meadows, Ill., is being awarded an $8,150,002 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-99-C-1240) to exercise an option to complete production of the first article Advanced Targeting Forward Looking Infrared (ATFLIR) modified Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Electro Optic+ Station and delivery of 22 production retrofit kits. Work will be performed in Rolling Meadows and is to be completed in December 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Kollmorgen Corp., Electro-Optical Division, Northampton, Mass., is being awarded a cost ceiling $6,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to inspect, repair, test, document, and certify as Ready-for-Issue, Types 2, 8, 14,15,18, and 22 periscope systems, Improved Non-Penetrating Periscopes (INPP), photonics mast, and New Technology Periscope/Imaging Systems for Los Angeles, Seawolf, and NSSN class submarines. The contractor will also provide engineering and technical support services to assess/evaluate potential changes to current design of the mentioned systems/components. Work will be performed in Northampton, Mass. (80 percent) and Brattleboro, Vt. (20 percent), and is to be completed by December 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was competitively procured, with one offer received. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport Division, Newport, R.I., is the contracting activity (N66604-03-D-1209).

ARMY

Alliant Techsystems, Radford, Va., was awarded a $9,873,762 firm-fixed-price contract for PAP7993 single based granular propellant on Dec. 10, 2002. Work will be performed in Radford and is to be completed by Oct. 13, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on August 5, 2002, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAE30-03-C-1015).

US Facilities Inc., Philadelphia was awarded a $1,390,355 increment as part of a $9,827,696.97 firm-fixed-price contract for facilities maintenance for the Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway on Dec. 10, 2002. Work will be performed in Chesapeake, Va., and is to be completed by Jan. 1, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 80 bids solicited on March 22, 2002, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (DACW65-03-C-0013).

Northrop Grumman Corp., Linthicum Heights, Md., was awarded an $11,121,389 increment as part of a $37,174,797.55 cost-plus-award-fee contract for the operational and logistical support of Tactical Exploitation Systems on Dec. 10, 2002. Work will be performed in Linthicum Heights, Md., and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on Nov. 1, 2001. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, is the contracting activity (DACA76-99-C-0007).
