AIR FORCE

Textron Systems Corp., Wilmington, Mass., is being awarded a $116,855,700 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for a quantity of 350 full rate production cluster bomb units-105 B/Bs and 300 sensor fuzed weapon retrofits. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be complete by February 2005. The work will be accomplished by Textron Systems Corp., Wilmington, Mass. (52%), and Day and Zimmerman, Parsons, Kan. (48%). The Air Armament Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08635-03-C-0022).

The Boeing Co., Seal Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $6,313,795 cost-plus fixed-fee, cost-plus award-fee contract modification to continue the development of the launch and early orbit, anomaly resolution and disposal operations (LADO) system. The global positioning satellite (GPS) program currently uses the Air Force Satellite Control Network (AFSCN) Command and Control System for LADO activities. This system will be deactivated some time in CY06 and each satellite program must develop its own equivalent system to work with the AFSCN Automated Remote Tracking Stations. For GPS, this new system is called LADO. Critical requirements previously undefined are included for the LADO operations and the control of GPS satellites. The location of performance is Harris Corp., Melbourne, Fla., (85 percent). At this time, no funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by September 2012. Solicitation began in May 2002 and negotiations were completed in January 2003. The Headquarters Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base is the contracting activity (F04701-96-C-0025, P00213).

ARMY

Waterson and Davis Joint Venture, Anchorage, Alaska, was awarded a delivery order amount of $35,295,000 as part of a $35,602,345 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a Mission Support Training Facility on Feb. 11, 2003. Work will be performed at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, and is to be completed by July 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were four bids solicited on Dec. 18, 2002, and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska, is the contracting activity (DACA85-02-D-0011).

Alliant Techsystems Inc., Arden Hills, Minn., was awarded a $33,727,950 firm-fixed-price contract for 7,291 M830A1 Cartridges on Feb. 11, 2003. Work will be performed in Janesville, Wis. (17 percent), Lancaster, Pa. (14 percent), Middletown, Iowa (13 percent), Radford, Va. (8 percent), Rocket Center, W.V. (15 percent), Joplin, Mo. (10 percent), Faribault, Minn. (6 percent), Arden Hills, Minn. (7 percent), Coachella, Calif. (3 percent), Louisville, Ky. (2 percent), Camden, Ark. (2 percent), Fridley, Minn. (2 percent), and miscellaneous (1 percent), and is expected to be completed by Feb. 11, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Aug. 19, 2002, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (DAAE30-03-C-1084).

SFA Inc., Frederick, Md., was awarded a delivery order amount of $6,580,972 as part of a $27,947,212 firm-fixed-price contract for 61 prodcution units of the containerized kitchen on Feb. 11, 2003. Work will be performed in Frederick and is to be completed by Feb. 28, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Aug. 25, 1998, and seven bids were received. The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick, Mass., is the contracting activity (DAAD15-99-D-0001).

Total Concepts of Design Inc., Scottsburg, Ind., was awarded a delivery order amount of $1,027,599 as part of a $9,597,750 firm-fixed-price contract for 1,606 univeral arms racks on Feb. 12, 2003. Work will be performed in Scottsburg and is to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Oct. 11, 2002, and nine bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAE20-03-D-0064).

Carob Inc., Fort Smith, Ark., was awarded a delivery order amount of $552,976 as part of a $7,252,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 619 M240B machine gun racks, 1,108 M14 pistol racks, and 602 M249 weapons racks on Feb. 12, 2003. Work will be performed at Fort Smith and is completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Oct. 11, 2002, and nine bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAE20-03-D-0065).

NAVY

General Dynamics Electronic Systems, Suffolk Va., is being awarded $10,496,223 to exercise an option under previously awarded indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for providing services in support of the U.S. Joint Forces Command's Joint Experimentation Directorate in support of the formulation and analysis of joint operational concepts. Work will be performed at Suffolk and is to be completed by October 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Fleet Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment, Philadelphia is the contracting activity (N00140-01-D-H002).

Northrop Grumman Information Technology, Defense Enterprise Solutions Division, McLean, Va., is being awarded a $7,825,890 to exercise an option under previously awarded indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00140-01-D-H028) for providing services in support of the U.S. Joint Forces Command's Joint Experimentation Directorate in support of the formulation and analysis of joint operational concepts. Work will be performed in Suffolk, Va., and is to be completed by October 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The Fleet Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment, Philadelphia is the contracting activity.

Science Applications International Corp., San Diego is being awarded a $7,715,691 to exercise an option under previously awarded indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00140-01-D-H029) for providing services in support of the U.S. Joint Forces Command's Joint Experimentation Directorate in support of the formulation and analysis of joint operational concepts. Work will be performed at Suffolk, Va., and is to be completed by October 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year.
