AIR FORCE

Raytheon Co., Tucson, Ariz., is being awarded a $2,000,000,000 indefinite-deliver and indefinite-quantity contract to provide for Paveway II laser-guided bomb kits for guided bomb units weapons System 10, 12 and 16. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. The Air Force can issue delivery orders on the basis of fair opportunities to any of the participating contractors totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than this amount. The location of performances are: Raytheon Co., Tucson, Raytheon Co., Sherman, Texas and Lockheed Martin Corp., Archbald, Pa. At this time, no funds have been obligated. This work will be completed by February 2008. The solicitation began in December 2002. The Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contacting activity (F42630-03-D0001).

Turbocombuster Technology, Stuart, Fla., is being awarded a $5,440,680 firm-fixed-price contract to provide for 420 flameholder after burners applicable to the F100 engines on the F-15 and F-16 aircraft. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be completed by October 2003. The solicitation began in November 2002 and negotiations were completed in December 2002. The Headquarters Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-03-C-0152).

NAVY

Federal Cartridge Company, Anoka, Minn., is being awarded a $29,999,900 fixed-price, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract for a maximum 143,000 (ea.) cans of 5.56mm frangible ammunition for the U.S. Government. Work will be performed in Anoka, Minn., and is to be completed by September 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $481,938, will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured and advertised on the Internet, with eight offers received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-03-D-0011).

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $16,340,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract in support of advanced planning and material procurement of the depot modernization program of USS Springfield. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (99 percent) and Quonset Point, R.I. (1 percent), and is to be completed by May 2004. Contract funds in the amount of $14,161,450 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with proposals solicited from the two nuclear-qualified, private shipyards via Commerce Business Daily. Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-03-C-2102).

Pratt and Whitney, East Hartford, Conn., is being awarded $11,737,880 for priced order 5144 under previously awarded basic ordering agreement (N00383-00G-025M) for procurement of turbine blade sets supporting the J52 engine (EA-6B) aircraft. Work will be performed in East Hartford and is to be completed by August 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Kaydon Corp., Muskegon, Mich., was awarded a delivery order amount of $1,740,836 as part of a $8,004,180 firm-fixed-price contract for 278 bearing, roller, and tape applicable to the AH-64 aircraft on Feb. 13, 2003. Work will be performed in Muskegon and is to be completed by Feb. 28, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole-source contract initiated on July 10, 2002. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-03-D-0183).

S. A. Scientific, San Antonio was awarded a delivery order amount of $5,252,500 as part of a $200,000,000 firm-fixed-price contract for immunochromatographic assays strips on Feb. 14, 2003. Work will be performed in San Antonio and is to be completed by Jan. 14, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were seven bids solicited on June 10, 2002, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Frederick, Md., is the contracting activity (DASG60-03-D-0001).
