Boeing Wichita Development and Mod Center, Wichita, Kan., is being awarded a $73,609,000 cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for block one modification for the E-4 aircraft. The E-4B provides the national command authority with a battle staff and a survival command, control, and communications platform from which U.S. force direction and civil coordination can be conducted. At this time $1,620,000 of the funds has been obligated. Boeing will perform this effort in Wichita. Dynamic Gunver Technologies, Manchester, Conn., is being awarded a $7,118,140 firm-fixed price-type contract for 3,059 engine convergent nozzle segment assemblies applicable to the F100PW100/200/220 engines on the F-15/F-16 aircraft. FLIR Systems Inc., Portland, Ore., is being awarded a $20,000,000 modification to previously awarded time and materials, indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity contract (N00164-01-D-0015) for failure analysis, corrective action and repair, major repair, major refurbishment to like new condition, engineering services, replacement parts, procurement of weapons replaceable assemblies, and data in support of the Navigational Thermal Imaging System Program. Work will be performed in Portland and is to be completed by April 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Hydraulics International, Inc., Chatsworth, Calif., is being awarded an $11,686,739 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N68335-99-C-0167) to exercise an option for the procurement of 119 Second Generation 20mm Linkless Ammunition Loading Systems (LALS II) consisting of ammunition loaders and ammunition replenishers. The LALS II will satisfy a U.S. Air Force requirement to support the M61A1/A2 gun systems in the F-15, F-16, and F-22 aircraft. Work will be performed in Chatsworth, Calif., and is expected to be completed in July 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. U.S. SPECIAL OPERATIONS COMMAND
Raytheon Co., of El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $43,040,024 firm-fixed-price contract for continued life-cycle contractor support (L-CCS) to sustain U.S. Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps Forward Looking Infrared Radar Systems and subsystems for a total of five years (base period, plus four, one-year options). The solicitation was issued on Oct. 22, 2002 with one offer received. Operational Maintenance Defense funds under fiscal year 2003 will be utilized for this contract and subsequent year funds will be utilized for options and option years, if exercised.
