NAVY

Lockheed Martin, Naval Electronics and Surveillance Systems, Moorestown, N.J., is being awarded a $164,200,000 cost-plus-award-fee contract for AEGIS weapon system engineering for Japanese Maritime Self Defense Forces Kongo Class destroyer DDG 2317 under the Foreign Military Sales program. Work will be performed in Moorestown (91%) and Japan (9%), and is expected to be completed by February 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-03-C-5101).

Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $59,255,088 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-00-C-2112) to exercise an option for Lead Yard services in support of Virginia Class submarines. Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (98%), Newport, R.I. (1%) and Quonset Point, R.I. (1%), and is expected to be completed by April 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Bahrain Maritime & Mercantile Int'l BSC*, Sitra, Bahrain, is being awarded $48,000,000 firm fixed price with indefinite/delivery type of contract for a C-2 emergency acquisition in direct support of operation enduring freedom for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and U.S. Marine Corps. Performance completion date is expected to be March 31, 2003. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole solicitation. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. (SP0300-03-D-3003)

Welch Allyn Protocol Systems, Beaverton, Ore., is being awarded $5,000,000 fixed price with economic price adjustment and indefinite/delivery type of contract for patient monitoring systems for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies. This contract is exercising its first year option. Performance completion date is expected to be April 1, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 31 solicitations and 11 responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. (SP0200-02-D-8313)

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corp., Marietta, Ga., is being awarded a $20,294,006 firm-fixed-price/cost-plus-award-fee contract modification to provide for support of the C-5 Avionics Modernization Program. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. Solicitation began in August 2002; negotiations were completed in March 2003. This work will be completed by July 2004. The Aeronautical System Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-98-C-0006, P00080).

ViaSat Inc., Carlsbad, Calif., is being awarded a $5,393,894 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for the purchase of six ultra high frequency (UHF) demand assigned multiple access (DAMA) satellite command (SATCOM) terminal systems, one UHF DAMA SATCOM test bed system and engineering site surveys for Phase I of the Teleport UHF Project. The UHF DAMA SATCOM systems are comprised of ViaSat RT-1828 multi-channel versar module euro-card radio terminals, UHF DAMA certified high power amplifiers, signal spitter/combiners, low noise amplifier/diplexers and helical UHF SATCOM antennas. The systems will provide connectivity to the teleport Defense Information System Network, network via 5 kHz and 25 kHz non-DAMA operations in accordance with Military Standard 188-181B; 5 kHz DAMA operation in accordance with Military Standard 188-183. At this time, the total amount of funds has been obligated. This work will be completed by November 2003. The Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F19628-96-C-0015, P00121).
