ARMY

Thales Raytheon Systems, El Segundo, Calif., was awarded on March 31, 2003, a $45,790,000 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for sentinel radars and initial spares. work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 21, 2003. The U. S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-00-C-0059).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Grand Prairie, Texas, was awarded on March 31, 2003, a delivery order amount of $22,300,000 as part of a $43,955,587 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for three (PAC-3) follow-on test missile integration and flight. Work will be performed in Grand Prairie, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Skanska USA Buidling Inc., Seattle, Wash., was awarded on March 28, 2003, a $41,577,234 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of six, three-story barracks and two soldier community buildings. Work will be performed in Fort Lewis, Wash., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Jan. 14, 2003, and seven bids were received. The U. S. Alliant Techsystems Inc., Radford, Va., was awarded on March 31, 2003, a $14,999,000 firm-fixed-price contract for Facility Maintenance. Work will be performed at the Radford Ammunitions Plant, Radford, Va., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Feb. 7, 2003, and one bid was received. Day and Zimmerman Inc., Philadelphia, Pa., was awarded on March 31, 2003, a delivery order amount of $7,885,298 as part of a $14,617,941 firm-fixed-price contract for load, assembly and pack of 611,880 M67 grenades. Work will be performed in Texarkana, Texas, and is expected to be completed by July 30, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Systems & Electronics Inc., St. Louis, Mo., was awarded on March 31, 2003, a $14,044,011 firm-fixed-price contract for 56 M1025A Knight vehicles, 12 M707 mission equipment packages for fire support vehicles, and vehicle deprocessing and system technical support administration. Work will be performed in Sanford, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. JKS Industries Inc., Tampa, Fla., was awarded on March 28, 2003, an $8,012,530 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 1,152,882 M918 projectile assemblies. Work will be performed in Melbourne, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. United Defense L.P., Anniston, Ala., was awarded on March 31, 2003, a $7,104,212 firm-fixed-price contract for overhaul of 77 M577A2 vehicles and upgrade of the same to the M1068A3 vehicle configuration. Work will be performed in Anniston, Ala., and is expected to be completed by June 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Tecknocraft Inc., Melbourne, Fla., was awarded on March 28, 2003, a $6,479,475 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 768,621 M918 projectile assemblies. Work will be performed in Melbourne, Fla., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Kiewit Construction Co., Englewood, Colo., was awarded on March 31, 2003, a $5,894,000 firm-fixed-price contract for addition/alteration Space Based Infra Red System Mission Control Station. Work will be performed at Buckley Air Force Base, Colo., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 22, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Speegle Construction Inc., Niceville, Fla., was awarded on March 31, 2003, a $5,743,300 firm-fixed-price contract for design and construction of a new two-story ADAL SOF Command and operations facility. Work will be performed at Hurlburt Field, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 28, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 61 bids solicited on Nov. 6, 2002, and eight bids were received. The U. S. Army Engineer District, Mobile, Ala., is the contracting activity (DACA01-03-C-0006).
