ARMY

Perini Corp., Framingham, Mass., was awarded on April 1, 2003, a delivery order amount of $500,000 as part of a $100,000,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for removal and permanent rebuilding of existing damaged asphalt roads and to establish temporary replacements for a destroyed bridge. Work will be performed in Afghanistan, and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 12 bids solicited on Feb. 26, 2003, and four bids were received. The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Winchester, Va., is the contracting activity (DACA78-03-D-0006).

Fluor Intercontinental, Arlington, Va., was awarded on April 1, 2003, a delivery order amount of $500,000 as part of a $100,000,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for removal and permanent rebuilding of existing damaged asphalt roads and to establish temporary replacements for a destroyed bridge. Raytheon Co., Bedford, Mass., was awarded on April 1, 2003, an $8,965,506 firm-fixed-price contract for secondary items for the PATRIOT Missile System. Work will be performed in Bedford, Mass., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on March 5, 2003. The U. S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH01-03-C-0107).

AIR FORCE

Actus Lend Lease, LLC, Napa, Calif., is being awarded a $22,368,790 firm-fixed-price contract award to replace Family Housing Units at Hickam Air Force Base and Bellows Air Force Station, Hawaii. The contractor will be required to provide all plant, labor equipment, materials, and supplies in performing all work elements as specified in the technical provisions and drawings for this contract. Work to be accomplished under the contract will include, but is not necessarily limited to, demolishing existing housing units, constructing new family housing units with slab on grade, providing framed construction, external and interior walls, windows, doors, hardware, roofing, fixtures, and accessories, air conditioning, plumbing, interior finishes, cabinetry, electrical, grading, paving, site utilities and related landscape work, and other incidental work. Funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. Solicitation began in March 2002. The 15th Contracting Squadron, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (F64605-02-R-0008).
