Brown & Root Services, a division of Kellogg Brown & Root, Arlington, Va., is being awarded a $5,700,000 modification to Task Order 0033 under a cost reimbursement, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity construction contract for typhoon restoration and facilities repair at U.S. Naval Facilities, Guam. Work provides for repair of over 200 structures sustaining damage during super typhoon Pongsona, which struck the island in December 2002. Work will be performed in Guam, and is expected to be completed by March 2004. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The basic contract was competitively procured with 44 proposals solicited, three offers received and award made on June 29, 2000. The total contract amount is not to exceed $300,000,000, which includes the base period and four option years. Computer Sciences Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $5,373,087 indefinite- delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed fee contract for engineering support services for Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center (SSC) Charleston. This contract will meet SSC Charleston's requirement to improve engineering/technical and functional business processes. This contract will develop documented processes and process guides for distributed testing, production engineering, requirements management and other areas as appropriate. This contract includes options, which if exercised, would bring the total cumulative value of this contract to $28,162,146. The work will be performed in Charleston, S.C., and is expected to be completed by April 2004. This contract was competitively procured on a full and open competitive basis.
