NAVY

Science Applications International Corp., San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $19,479,935 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity type contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing for systems engineering and management services, software and hardware engineering and installation support, systems testing and logistics support for design enhancements and upgrades to ultra high frequency military satellite communications systems. This contract is one of two contracts awarded; both awardees will compete for task orders during the ordering period. This 3-year contract includes two 1-year options which if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $27,480,944. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by June 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the SPAWAR e-commerce Web site, with two offers received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-03-D-0037).

ARINC Engineering Services LLC, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $18,075,490 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity-type contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing for systems engineering and management services, software and hardware engineering and installation support, systems testing and logistics support for design enhancements and upgrades to ultra high frequency military satellite communications systems. This contract is one of two contracts awarded; both awardees will compete for task orders during the ordering period. This 3-year contract includes two 1-year options which if exercised, would bring the cumulative value of this contract to $25,489,447. Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by June 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the SPAWAR e-commerce Web site, with two offers received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N66001-03-D-0036).

ARMY

Miller/Thompson Constructors Inc., Richmond, Calif., is being awarded a $13,733,997 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of flood control and environment restoration features along the Guadalupe River in San Jose, Calif. Work will be performed in San Jose, Calif., and is expected to be completed by June 22, 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. There were 100 bids solicited on March 20, 2003, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, Sacramento, Calif., is the contracting activity (DACW05-03-0003).

Speegle Construction Inc., Niceville, Fla., is being awarded a $6,347,000.00 firm-fixed-price contract to design and build an advanced explosive ordnance disposal training facility at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. Work will be performed at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 23, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. There were 349 bids solicited on Dec. 12, 2002, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, Mobile District, Mobile, Ala., is the contracting activity (DACA01-03-C-0009).

AIR FORCE

L3 Communications Systems West, Salt Lake City, Utah, is being awarded a $5,307,751 cost-plus-award-fee contract modification to provide for multiple platform common data links concept and technology development. This effort will change the participants in the platform integration and test effort, add one additional ground unit for the U.S. Army and revise the applicable specifications. At this time, $2,768,000 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete March 2005.
