Special Markets Inc., Virginia Beach, Va., was awarded a firm-fixed-price, performance-based service acquisition contract for in-store delicatessen and bakery operations for product resale on Aug. 7, 2003.  Performance to begin Sept. 1, 2003.  The estimated award amount is  $31,484,326.  Work will be performed on-site at 35 commissaries located in the Defense Commissary Agency, Midwest Region.  The commissaries are Altus Air Force Base, Fort Sill, Tinker Air Force Base and Vance Air Force Base, Okla.; Fort Bliss and Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas; Kirtland Air Force Base, Holloman Air Force Base, Cannon Air Force Base and White Sands Missile Range, N.M.; Fort Carson, Peterson Air Force Base, U.S. Air Force Academy and Buckley Air Force Base, Colo.; F.E. Warren Air Force Base, Wyo., McConnell Air Force Base, Fort Riley and Fort Leavenworth, Kan.; Fort Leonard Wood and Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo.; Minot Air Force Base and Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D.; Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D.; Scott Air Force Base, Ill.; Offutt Air Force Base, Neb.; Redstone Arsenal, Maxwell Air Force Base, Gunter Annex and Fort Rucker, Ala.; Keesler Air Force Base and Columbus Air Force Base, Miss.; Little Rock Air Force Base, Ark.; Barksdale Air Force Base and Fort Polk, La.; and Memphis Naval Air Station, Tenn.  The contract is for base period beginning Sept. 1, 2003, and ending Aug. 31, 2005.  If both option years are exercised, to include four award terms, the contract will be completed Aug. 31, 2011.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  Thirty firms were solicited, and two proposals were received.  The Defense Commissary Agency, Resale Contracting Division, Resale Services Support Branch, is the contracting activity (DECA02-03-D-0013).




C-Cubed Corp., Springfield, Va., is being awarded an $11,436,398 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-fixed-fee term contract (N00421-01-C-0125) to exercise an option for approximately 275,000 man-hours of technical and engineering services in support of electronic and communication systems located at various naval installations across the United States.  Work will be performed in Lexington Park, Md., and is expected to be completed in August 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division, St. Inigoes, Md., is the contracting activity.




Healy Tibbitts Builders, Aiea, Hawaii was awarded a $7,144,656 firm-fixed-price contract for Tern Island shore protection projects.  Work will be performed in Tern Island, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by Aug. 7, 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year.  There were nine bids solicited on May 6, 2003, and two bids were received.  The U.S. Army Engineer District, Honolulu, Fort Shafter, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (DACW83-03-C-0003).
