CONTRACTS

AIR FORCE

Marianna Airmotive Corp., Cantonment, Fla., is being awarded a $63,032,666 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide C-5 Aircraft Structural Component repairs, best-estimated quantities. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, although actual requirements may necessitate less than the amount above. No funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by May 2014. Solicitation began March 2003. The Headquarters Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity (F09603-03-D-0147).

NAVY

Rolls-Royce Defense Services Inc., Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a requirements contract with a not-to-exceed value of $51,197,805 to provide power-by-the-hour (PBTH) logistics support for approximately 175 T-45 F405-RR-401 engines. PBTH support to be provided includes maintaining and controlling the current inventory of F405-RR-401 engines, modules, spare and repair parts, as well as additional engines added to the fleet, including engines delivered with new production aircraft. Work will be performed in Meridian, Miss. (50.41%); Kingsville, Texas (49.04%); and Patuxent River, Md. (.55%), and is expected to be completed in September 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-03-D-0012).

McDonnell Douglas Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Boeing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $48,838,246 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price/fixed-price-incentive-fee contract (N00019-03-C-6528) to exercise an option for three T-45 aircraft. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (52%), and Warton, Brough, England (48%), and is expected to be completed in September 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Cascade General Inc., Portland, Ore., is being awarded a $6,192,763 firm-fixed-price contract for the post-turnover shipyard availability of the USNS Rainier. Work will be performed in Portland, Ore., and is expected to be completed in December 2003. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with five proposals solicited and two offers received. The U.S. Navy's Military Sealift Command, headquartered in Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N62383-03-C2271).

MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY

SPARTA Inc., Lake Forest, Calif., is being awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with completion and level-of-effort task orders for Ballistic Missile Defense System technologies for Missile Defense Agency Advanced Systems Deputate (MDA/AS) program development. Under this contract, SPARTA provides research and development, analyses, risk reduction and the planning and participation in test programs for key technologies and concepts for MDA/AS. This requirement includes specialized experience in the following areas: ladar, radars, passive sensors, seekers, airborne and space-based systems, command and control, battle management and communication, sensor fusion, survivability, lethality, threat phenomenology, space and aircraft mission planning, data fusing and tracking. This effort is intended to enhance the overall capability of the Ballistic Missile Defense System.

The contract has a period of performance inclusive of a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. The total contract value including the base period and option periods is estimated at $29,175,306. The principal place of performance will be in Arlington, Va., and is expected to be completed in September 2008. The Missile Defense Agency is the contracting activity (HQ0006-03-D-0050).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

U.S. Foods International Inc. (USFI)*, Gardena, Calif., is being awarded $23,000,000 firm fixed price with indefinite quantity type of contract for prime vendor full line food distribution for the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps and Child Development Center. This contract is exercising its fourth option. Work will also be performed in La Mirada, Calif. Performance completion date is September 22, 2004. Contract funds will expire by the end of the current fiscal year. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. (SP0300-03-D-2971)
