Rockwell Collins Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was awarded on Aug. 29, 2003, a delivery order amount of $6,400,000 as part of a $10,500,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for engineering services to initiate the expansion of the CH-47F avionics power personal computer/ethernet-based suite to integrate joint tactical radio, improved data modem and functional upgrades. Work will be performed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 1, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Boeing Co., Seal Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $65,221,269 cost-plus-award-fee/firm-fixed-price contract modification. An acquisition decision memorandum, dated May 2000, which directed development of a program to meet full modernization requirements to include space segment, control segment and user equipment, prompted the rebaselining of the Global Positioning System IIF contract in order to recognize actual work performed through December 2002 (firm-fixed-price contract line item numbers (CLINs) 0001-004, 0011-0012 and 0100-0105) and add work yet to be accomplished to CLIN 0005 (Modernization Development), CLIN 0008 (OSC/MOSC Development), CLIN 0111 (SVs 1-3 Production) and CLIN 0112 (SVs 2-4 Production), which are cost-plus-award-fee CLINs. The value of work yet to be accomplished included cost for labor, award fees, requests for equitable adjustments from subcontractors and profit.
