ARMY

 

            Akal Security Inc., Santa Cruz, N.M., was awarded on Sept. 30, 2003, a delivery order amount of $31,791,980 as part of a $102,461,165 firm-fixed-price contract for security guard services.  Work will be performed at Fort Campbell, Ky. (45%), Fort Stewart, Ga. (19%), Anniston Army Depot, Ala. (13%), Blue Grass Army Depot, Ky. (13%), and Sunny Point, N.C. (10%), and is expected to be completed by Sept. 29, 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on July 15, 2003, and 20 bids were received.  The Northern Region Contracting Center, Fort Eustis, Va., is the contracting activity (DABJ01-03-D-0038).

            Coastal International Security Inc., Surfside Beach, S.C., was awarded on Sept. 30, 2003, a delivery order amount of $11,573,977 as part of a $37,821,070 firm-fixed-price contract for security guard services.  Work will be performed at Fort Belvoir, Va. (58%) and Fort Drum, N.Y.             Hogan Construction Inc., Rolla, Mo., was awarded on Sept. 30, 2003, a $10,640,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an Army aviation support facility.  Work will be performed at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 15, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Aug. 20, 2003, and four bids were received.  The U.S. Property and Fiscal Office, Mo., is the contracting activity (DAHA23-03-C-0004).

 

            Orion Construction L.P., Houston, Texas, was awarded on Sept. 30, 2003, an $8,743,850 firm-fixed-price contract for offshore and inshore Bird Islands.  Work will be performed in Jasper, S.C., and is expected to be completed by March 30, 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on June 6, 2003, and four bids were received.  The U.S. Army Engineer District, Savannah, Ga. is the contracting activity (DACW21-03-C-0013).

 

            JKS Inc. - Mulberry, Upper Mulberry, Fla., was awarded on Sept. 30, 2003, an $8,374,464 firm-fixed-price contract for 1,179,250 M918 Projectile Assemblies.  Work will be performed in Upper Mulberry, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were four bids solicited on Aug. 3, 2003, and one bid was received.  The Joint Munitions Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-01-C-0033).

 

            Teknocraft Inc., Melbourne, Fla., was awarded on Sept. 30, 2003, a $6,533,909 firm-fixed-price contract for 757,223 M918 projectile assemblies.  Work will be performed in Melbourne, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 31, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were four bids solicited on Aug. 3, 2003, and one bid was received.  The Joint Munitions Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (DAAA09-01-C-0034).

 

            Guyco Inc., Lampasas, Texas, was awarded on Sept. 30, 2003, a delivery order amount of $6,193,943 as part of a $37,500,739 firm-fixed-price contract for barracks HVAC upgrade.  Work will be performed at Fort Polk, La., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 3, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were four bids solicited on Aug. 15, 2003, and three bids were received.  The U.S. Army Engineer District, Fort Worth, Texas, is the contracting activity (DACA63-02-D-0010).

 

            Page Construction Co., Novaro, Calif., was awarded on Sept. 11, 2003, a $5,766,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an organizational maintenance shop.  Work will be performed in Dublin, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 15, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were 28 bids solicited on June 13, 2003, and 11 bids were received.  The U.S. Property and Fiscal Office, San Luis Obispo, Calif., is the contracting activity (DAHA04-03-C-0007).

 

MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY

 

            The Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, is being awarded a sole source, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide technical support and expertise in applied research, analysis, evaluation, maturation, integration, test, and demonstration of leading edge guidance, navigation, and control technologies including their associated sensors, information systems, and modeling and simulation capabilities in support of the Missile Defense Agency Ballistic Missile Defense Program.  The contract has a potential five-year period of performance with a contract value not to exceed $47,500,000.  The Missile Defense Agency is the contracting activity (HQ0006-03-D-0048).
