NAVY

 

      General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, Pittsfield, Mass., is being awarded a $100,098,000 modification under previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee contract (N00030-03-C-0008) to provide for the FY04 TRIDENT II fire control omnibus contract, which includes fire control production, operational support, field engineering services, repair and return effort and guided missile submarine attack weapons, control systems attack weapons control systems development and production. Work will be performed in Pittsfield, Mass., and is expected to be completed by December 2006.  Contract funds in the amount of $16,697,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured.  The Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

            Hensel Phelps Construction Company, Chantilly, Va., is being awarded $27,340,000 for firm-fixed price Task Order 0002 under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award construction contract for the design and construction of a Technical Support Center for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) at the FBI Academy.  Work will be performed in Quantico, Va., and is expected to be completed by May 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The basic contract was competitively procured with 116 proposals solicited, 10 offers received and award made to multiple contractors on  April 26, 2002.  The total contract amount is not to exceed $150,000,000 annually (base year with four option years) with a maximum of $750,000,000 worth of projects to be placed on all multiple contracts over the five-year term.  The multiple contractors (six in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract.  Six proposals were received for this task order.  The Engineering Field Activity Chesapeake, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Wash., D.C., is the contracting activity (N62470-01-D-1142).

 

AIR FORCE

 

            Technical Ordnance Inc., Clear Lake, S.D., Quantic Industries Inc., Hollister, Calif., CAPCO Inc., Grand Junction, Colo., are being awarded an $50,000,000 (Each) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for BBU-36 Impulse Cartridges.  The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than this amount.  No funds have been obligated.  This work will be completed by September 2008.  Solicitation began May 2003 and Negotiations were completed October 2003.  The Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42630-03-D-0014, 0015, 0016).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

 

 

            Motor Oil (Hellas)-Corinth Refineries, S.A., Maroussi, is being awarded $15,532,000 firm fixed price for securing facilities and services for bulk petroleum product in the Mediterranean Sea for all U.S. services.  Performance completion date is expected to be January 1, 2004.  Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a web solicitation and two responded.  The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center (DESC-FPC), Fort Belvoir, Va.  (SP0600-04-C-5402).

 

ARMY

 

            Woodward Governor Co., Rockford, Ill., was awarded on Oct. 21, 2003, a $5,060,000 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 200 Main Fuel Controls for the Blackhawk Helicopter.  Work will be performed in Rockford, Ill., and is expected to be completed by May 2006.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on May 15, 2003.  The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-03-C-0214).

 

            Arapahoe Utilities and Infrastructure Inc., Englewood, Colo., was awarded on Oct. 22, 2003, a $1,000,000 increment as part of a $9,174,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a Channel Improvement Project.  Work will be performed in Aravada, Colo., and is expected to be completed by Feb. 24, 2006.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were eight bids solicited on Sept. 2, 2003, and six bids were received.  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha, Neb., is the contracting activity (W9128F-04-C-0001).

 

            Transaero Inc., Woodbury, N.Y., was awarded on Oct. 21, 2003, a delivery order amount of $841,575 as part of a $13,849,206 firm-fixed-price contract for 417 Power Turbine Actuators.  Work will be performed in Woodbury, N.Y., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2008.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Feb. 21, 2003, and one bid was received.  The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-03-D-N063).
