NAVY

 

            Raytheon Electronic Systems, Integrated Defense Systems, Sudbury, Mass., is being awarded a $30,350,000 fixed-price with award fees requirements contract for logistics support for the NATO MK57 Mod 2 through 9 (Seasparrow), Rearchitecture, and MK 23 Target Acquisition System.  Work will be performed in Chula Vista, Calif. (44%); Norfolk, Va. (29%); and Sudbury, Mass. (27%), and is expected to be completed by October 2008.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was not competitively procured.  Naval Inventory Control Point is the contracting activity (N00104-04DX-400).

 

            Frontier Electronic Systems Corporation, Stillwater, Okla., is being awarded a $30,000,000 ceiling, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for various AN/SPQ-14(V) Advanced Sensor Distribution equipment, auxiliary equipment, and production and installation support services.  This contract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy (94%) and the Governments of Japan (4%) and Taiwan (2%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program.  Work will be performed in Stillwater, Okla., and is expected to be completed by October 2006.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The contract was not competitively procured.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-03-D-4021).

 

            Computer Sciences Corporation, Defense Group, Fall Church, Va., is being awarded a $29,593,514 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for engineering and technical services in powering, hydromechanics, eromechanics, and dynamics for conventional ships, submarines and other underwater vehicles, aircraft, air platforms and advanced craft.  The contract will provide engineering and specialized technical services in support of the following areas: ship/system design and development, control system design and validation, computer system development, conversion support, computer modeling, etc.  Work will be performed in Falls Church, Va. (80%) and West Bethesda, Md. (20%), and is expected to be completed by October 2008.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The contract was competitively procured and advertised on the Internet, with one offer received.  The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, West Bethesda, Md., is the contracting activity. (N00167-04-D-0004)

 

            Joppa Maintenance Company, Inc.*, Hampstead, N.C., is being awarded a not to exceed $8,359,834 performance based combination firm-fixed price, indefinite-quantity contract for grounds maintenance services at Naval Training Center Great Lakes.  Work will be performed at Great Lakes, Ill. (80%), Ft. Sheridan, Ill. (10%) and Glenview, Ill. (10%), and is expected to be completed by October 2004.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website amongst Hub-Zone businesses with eight offers received.  The Engineering Field Activity Midwest, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Great Lakes, Ill., is the contracting activity (N68950-02-D-0045).

 

            Electric Boat Corporation, Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $6,570,050 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification under previously awarded contract (N00024-02-C-4063) to exercise an option for the operation, maintenance and preservation of Certified Floating Dry Dock SHIPPINGPORT.  The contractor shall provide personnel to operate, maintain and preserve the SHIPPINGPORT for scheduled and emergent availabilities for Navy nuclear submarines and service craft; provide nuclear qualified and certified services to dock and undock submarines and service craft; and provide specified lay day services during the scheduled or emergent availabilities.  Work will be performed in New London, Conn., and is expected to be completed by October 2004.  Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

 

AIR FORCE

 

            Raytheon Systems Co., Reston, Va., is being awarded a $20,757,462 cost-plus award-fee contract modification to provide for continuation of the Enhanced Modular Architecture Development and Integration (EMADI) project in support of the Global Broadcast Services (GBS).  GBS provides worldwide, high-capacity transmission of video, imagery, and other large data files in support of joint military forces.  The EMADI project includes design, development, integration, test, and deployment of the uplink and receives suite portions of the Internet Protocol upgrade worldwide.  At this time, $3,908,393 of the funds has been obligated.  Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued.  This work will be complete by December 2005.  Negotiations were completed September 2003.  The Headquarters Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the contracting activity (F04701-97-C-0044, P00173).

            FlightSafety Services Corp., Centennial, Colo., is being awarded a $17,433,081 firm-fixed-price contract modification to provide for C-5 Aircrew Training Systems contract Fund Option 5 for student throughput and fixed operations, maintenance and support, 1 October 2003 thru 30 September 2004.  Total funds have been obligated.  This work will be complete by September 2004.  The Headquarters Ogden Air Logistics Center, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the contracting activity (F42630-99-C-0170, P00089).
