CONTRACTS


ARMY

            Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., Stratford, Conn., was awarded on Jan. 14, 2004, a $164,731,227 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 13 Navy Knight Hawk helicopters (MH-60S) and 12-months of project systems management for the Navy and technical publications.  Work will be performed in Stratford, Conn., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 4, 2000.  The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-02-C-0006).

            Cessna Aircraft Co., Wichita, Kan., was awarded on Jan. 15, 2004, a delivery order amount of $30,889,132 as part of a $75,427,429 firm-fixed-price contract for four UC35D aircraft.  Work will be performed in Wichita, Kan., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on June 26, 2000.  The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-01-D-0048).

NAVY

            Northrop Grumman Corp., Air Combat Systems, El Segundo, Calif., is being awarded a $22,635,735 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-02-C-3043) for the procurement of 32 center barrel replacement plus (CBR+) kits and associated center barrel loose parts for the Navy (28) and the Royal Australian Air Force (4) in support of the service life extension program for the F/A-18A/B/C/D.  Work will be performed in El Segundo, Calif. (80.8%) and Amityville, N.Y. (19.2%), and is expected to be completed in October 2006.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This modification combines purchases for the Navy ($19,956,676; 88.2%) and the Royal Australian Air Force ($2,679,059; 11.8%) under the Foreign Military Sales Program.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

            Electric Boat Corporation, Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $9,200,000 firm-fixed-price modification to previously awarded contract (N00024-03-C-4400) for changes to execution phase of USS Seawolf (SSN 21) selected restricted availability.  Work will be performed in Groton, Conn., and is expected to be completed by September 2004.  Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion, and Repair, USN, Groton Conn., is the contracting activity.

AIR FORCE

            Lockheed Martin Corp., Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $19,300,354 firm fixed price contract modification.  This contract is for C130J training device-integrated cockpit systems trainer, CY04 contractor logistic support, CY04 Training System Support Center, and CY04 change management.  Locations of performance are:  Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., 86 South Cobb Drive, Marietta, Ga. 30063 (37%); and CAE USA, Inc., 4908 Tampa West Blvd., Tampa, Fla. 33634 (37%).  Total funds have been obligated.  This work will be complete by June 2006.  The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-00-C-0044, P000020).

            Boeing Wichita Development and Mod Center, Wichita, Kan., is being awarded a $17,820,000 firm fixed price contract modification to provide for four RC-135 re-engine installs for the KC/RC-135 re-engine contract.  Total funds have been obligated.  This work will be complete by April 2005.  Solicitation began March 2003 and negotiations were completed January 2004.  The Headquarters Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-97-C-0001, P00164).

            McDonnell Douglas Corp., Long Beach, Calif., is being awarded a $5,913,670 cost-plus fixed-fee contract modification.  The contractor’s services will be procured to accelerate a multiple stage retrofit of P97 and P44 to complete the remainder of work needed for P90 and P91 with LAIRCM kits.  At this time, $2,956,804 of the funds has been obligated.  Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued.  This work will be complete by December 2005.  The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-01-C-2002, P00140).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

            Air Liquide America, L.P., Houston, Texas, is being awarded $9,978,611 firm fixed price type of contract for liquid nitrogen and storage tanks for the Air Force and federal civilian agencies.  Work will also be performed in Colorado and California.  Performance completion date is expected to be Jan. 31, 2009.  Contract funds will not expire this fiscal year.  This was a federal business opportunities on-line solicitation and five responded.  The contracting activity is the Defense Energy Support Center, Lackland AFB, Texas  (SP0600-04-D-1514).
