CONTRACTS

 

NAVY

 

            National Steel and Shipbuilding Co. San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $578,206,817 fixed-price-incentive modification under previously awarded contract (N00024-02-C-2300) to exercise options for design and construction of the fifth and sixth ships in the Dry Cargo/Ammunition Ship (T-AKE) Class.  This modification will provide for full funding of the detailed design and construction of the fifth and sixth ships of the T-AKE 1 Class.  Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by July 2007.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington Navy Yard, Washington, D.C. is the contracting activity.

 

            Delex Systems Inc.*, Vienna, Va. is being awarded a $6,877,780 firm-fixed-priced delivery order against a previously issued Basic Ordering Agreement (N00019-03-G-0015) to develop, test and deliver a turnkey Harpoon Tactical Training Program for the Egyptian Government under the Foreign Military Sales Program.  Work will be performed in Vienna, Va. (80%), and Cairo, Egypt (20%), and is expected to be completed in January 2009.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md. is the contracting activity.

 

            RQ Construction Inc.*, Bonsall, Calif., is being awarded $6,856,000 for firm-fixed price Task Order 0003 under an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple award construction contract for repair to Recruit Barracks 31603 and 31612 at Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton.  Work will be performed in Oceanside, Calif., and is expected to be completed by August 2005.  Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The basic contract was competitively procured via the NAVFAC e-solicitation website with 11 offers received and award made on 29 March 2002.  The total contract amount for each contractor is not to exceed $150,000,000 (base period and four option years) bringing the cumulative total for all four contracts to $600,000,000.  The multiple contractors (four in number) may compete for task orders under the terms and conditions of the existing contract.  Four proposals were received for this task order.  The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest Division, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N68711-02-D-8012).

 

            Alloy Surfaces Co. Inc. (Alloy), Chester Township, Pa., is being awarded an estimated $5,291,325 fixed-price job order under previously awarded Basic Ordering Agreement (N00164-00-G-0001) for 36,354 MJU-49/B Decoy Devices.  MJU-49/B Decoy Devices are used on aircraft applications for terminal self-defense in combat situations.  Work will be performed in Chester Township, Pa., and is expected to be completed by October 2005.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity.

 

AIR FORCE

 

            Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Rolling Meadows, Ill., is being awarded a $48,000,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for LITENING Targeting Pod Systems, support equipment, shipping containers, interim contractor support, and contractor logistics support.  The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than this amount.  The locations of performance are Northrop Grumman, Rolling Meadows, Ill. (55%), and Rafael Missile Division, Haifa, Israel (45%).  At this time, $960,000 of the funds has been obligated.  Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued.  This work will be complete by September 2007.  The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8607-04-D-2751).

 

            Pratt and Whitney Inc., Hartford, Conn., is being awarded an $11,905,904 firm fixed price contract to provide for 40,789 each Turbine Nozzles applicable to the F100 engines.  No funds have been obligated.  This work will be complete by December 2005.  Solicitation began October 2003 and Negotiations were completed January 2004.   The Headquarters Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-01-G-0006-0735).
