CONTRACTS

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

ProcureNet Inc.*, Fairfield, N.J., is being awarded a $100,000 (minimum)/$100,000,000 (maximum) firm-fixed-price with indefinite-quantity and indefinite-delivery type of contract for prime vendor for maintenance, repair and operations for the Hawaii region for the Defense Logistics Agency. Work will also be performed in Honolulu, Hawaii. Performance completion date is expected to be Jan. 31, 2006. Contract funds will expire at the end of this fiscal year. There were 50 proposals solicited, and six responded. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (SP0500-04-D-BP06).

NAVY

Omniplex World Services Corp.*, Chantilly, Va., is being awarded a $9,289,584 firm-fixed-price delivery order against a previously awarded blanket purchase agreement (N00421-03-A-0014) for services to complete 1,342 single scope background investigation cases and 9,672 national agency checks with local agency checks for the Defense Security Service. Work will be performed in Chantilly, Va., and is expected to be completed in June 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

DynCorp Systems and Solutions LLC, Reston, Va., is being awarded an $8,728,783 firm-fixed-priced delivery order against a previously awarded blanket purchase agreement (N00421-03-A-0012) to complete 605 single scope background investigation cases and 13,344 national agency check local agency check cases for the Defense Security Service. Work will be performed in Reston, Va., and is expected to be completed in June 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Investigative Services Joint Venture, Fairfax, Va., is being awarded an $8,690,868 firm-fixed-priced delivery order against a previously awarded blanket purchase agreement (N000421-03-A-0013) for services to complete 220 single scope background investigation cases, 1,342 single scope background investigation-periodic reinvestigation cases and 12,684 national agency check with local agency checks and credit checks cases for the Defense Security Service. Work will be performed in Fairfax, Va., and is expected to be completed in June 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Diesel Engineering Inc., Englewood Cliffs, N.J., is being awarded a $7,767,946 firm-fixed-price contract for 16 MTU 12V 4000 M90 propulsion diesel engines for its fast patrol boat construction contract to support requirements of the government of Israel, Ministry of Defense, under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Work will be performed in Detroit, Mich., and is expected to be completed by November 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-04-C-4205).

AIR FORCE

Veridian Engineering, Buffalo, N.Y., is being awarded a $9,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide for advanced information extraction research, development and transition. The objective of this effort is to enhance and evolve existing information extraction systems under development by the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, so they can better meet the needs of specific user sites by helping information analysts become more effective in exploiting information in large volumes of unstructured text. The approach is to develop automated information extraction, analysis and visualization systems that make it faster and easier to find and visualize, and otherwise exploit, information of interest from text. The Air Force can issue delivery orders totaling up to the maximum amount indicated above, though actual requirements may necessitate less than this amount. At this time, $4,937,127 of the funds have been obligated. Further funds will be obligated as individual delivery orders are issued. This work will be complete by February 2010. Solicitation began July 2003, and negotiations were completed December 2003. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome, N.Y., is the contracting activity (FA8750-04-D-0002).
