CONTRACTS

NAVY

Keyport Services, Poulsbo, Wash., is being awarded a $54,708,180 cost-plus-award-fee service contract for professional, engineering and business management services to directly support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Keyport's mission. This contract contains four one-year options that, if all options are exercised, will bring the total cumulative approximate value of the contract to $301,729,075. Work will be performed in Keyport, Wash. (60 percent); Oahu, Kauai, and Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (17 percent); Norfolk, Chesapeake, Yorktown and Arlington, Va., and Washington D.C. (15 percent); San Diego, Calif. (6 percent); and Hawthorne, Nev. (2 percent); and is expected to be completed by March 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was solicited under full and open competition through the Federal Business Opportunities and Navy Electronic Commerce Online sites, with one offer received. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound is the contracting activity (N00406-04-C-5008).

Rolls-Royce Corp., Indianapolis, Ind., is being awarded a $18,999,184 firm-fixed-price contract for acquisition of eight AE2100D3 engines used on the KC-130J aircraft. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Ind., and is expected to be completed by September 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Inventory Control Point is the contracting activity (N00383-04-C-008M).

BAE Oceans Systems, Braintree, Mass., is being awarded a $6,693,250 firm-fixed-price modification under previously awarded contract (N00024-99-C-6102) to exercise an option for production of MK 3/4 Acoustic Device Countermeasures (ADC), SEAWOLF upgrades, and associated engineering support. Work will be performed in Braintree, Mass., and is expected to be completed by March 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Belleville Shoe Manufacturing Co., Belleville, Ill., was awarded on March 5, 2004, an $18,800,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 200,000 pairs of Desert Boots. Work will be performed in Belleville, Ill., and is expected to be completed by April 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were four bids solicited on Jan. 10, 1996, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command, Natick, Mass., is the contracting activity (W911QY-04-F-0098).

Simula Aerospace and Defense Group, Phoenix, Ariz., was awarded on March 5, 2004, an $11,494,024 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for advanced protective materials and ballistic glass minus doors and door glass for Crew Protection Kits for an additional 630 Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks, 260 Palletized Load Systems, 500 Heavy Equipment Transporters, and 250 M915 Crew Protection Kits. Work will be performed in Phoenix, Ariz., and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on March 1, 2004. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-04-C-0259).

Oshkosh Truck Corp., Oshkosh, Wis., was awarded on March 5, 2004, a $6,160,783 firm-fixed-price contract for Air Conditioning Kits for the Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck, Palletized Load System, and Heavy Equipment Transporter. Work will be performed in Oshkosh, Wis., and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 25, 2004. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-04-C-0323).

CombiMatrix Corp.*, Mukilteo, Wash., was awarded on March 5, 2004, a $3,245,000 increment as part of a $5,880,588 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Two Prototype Electrochemical Detector Systems. Work will be performed in Mukilteo, Wash., and is expected to be completed by March 4, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Jan. 27, 2004. The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity (W911SR-04-C-0022).
