CONTRACTS

AIR FORCE

Boeing Aerospace Operations, Midwest City, Okla., is being awarded a $31,805,815 cost plus incentive fee contract modification. This contract modification is for acquisition of the prototype engineering, material and installation of the supportability and infrastructure upgrade (SIU) Phase II effort for one VC-25A aircraft. The SIU Phase II effort replaces aging and obsolete analog audio/video distribution, cabin management, and passenger services systems with digital systems including on demand audio/video and upgraded lighting systems in parts of the aircraft. The Special Air Mission aircraft provide air transportation for the president, vice-president, Cabinet members, and other dignitaries on a worldwide basis and are assigned to the 89th AW at Andrews Air Force Base and other dignitaries on a worldwide basis and are assigned to the 89th AW at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by March 2007. Negotiations were completed August 2004. Aerojet General Corp., Sacramento, Calif., is being awarded a $10,876,222 cost-plus fixed-fee contract modification. This modification exercises the Option CLINs to continue on the research upper stage engine technology (USET) effort. The objective of the USET effort is to enable the rapid and successful design, development, and test of liquid rocket propulsion turbopump. This will be accomplished through developing and/or improving upon current engineering design, physical modeling and component performances simulation tools in order to exceed the integrated high payoff rocket propulsion technology cryogenic upper stage Phase I goals and strive for Phase II goals. At this time, $497,000 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete by February 2006. DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

US Foodservice-Atlanta, Fairburn, Ga., is being awarded a $31,000,000 firm fixed price with indefinite quantity type contract for prime vendor food and beverage support to Army, Navy, Air Force and Job Corps customers in Georgia. Performance completion date is expected to be Oct. 16, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The proposal was solicited on the Web and three responded. The contract activity for this contract is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa.

SYSCO Food Services of Central Alabama, Calera, Al., is being awarded a $15,000,000 firm fixed price with indefinite quantity type contract for prime vendor food and beverage support to Army, Navy, Air Force and Job Corps customers in Alabama and the Florida panhandle. Performance completion date is expected to be Oct. 16, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The proposal was solicited on the Web and three responded. Truman Arnold Companies,* Temple, Texas, is being awarded a $14,133,235 fixed price with economic price adjustment for gasoline, diesel fuel and burner oil for the Army, Air Force and federal civilian agencies. Work will also be performed in various locations throughout Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Performance completion date is expected to be May 31, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 570 proposals solicited and 42 responded. ARMY

TAMSCO, was awarded on, August 18, 2004, a delivery order amount of $30,000,000 firm fixed price contract for satellite communication spares and service for five years. Work will be performed in Beltsville, Md. is expected to be completed by Aug. 10, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Ceradyne, Inc, was awarded on, August 19, 2004, a delivery order amount of $28,130,882 as part of a $461,000,000 firm fixed price fee contract for interceptor body armor inserts.
