CONTRACTS

NAVY

Lockheed Martin Space Systems, Sunnyvale, Calif., is being awarded a $676,309,203 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract (N00030-04-C-0100) to provide funding for the fiscal year 2005 TRIDENT II (D5) Missile Production and Deployed System Support (P&DSS). Work will be performed in Sunnyvale, Calif. (38.96 percent); Magna, Utah (13.19 percent); Kings Bay, Ga. (11.12 percent); Cocoa Beach, Fla. (11.57 percent); Bangor, Wash. (8.60 percent); Gainesville, Va. (2.22 percent); Kings Port, Tenn. (2.88 percent); Rockville, Md. (1.11 percent); other (10.35 percent) and is expected to be completed by September 2008. Contract funds in the amount of $218,380,688 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was not competitively procured. The Navys Strategic Systems Programs, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (Mod. PZ0001).

L-3 Communications Corp. - Narda Satellite Networks, Hauppauge, N.Y., is being awarded a $40,092,162 modification to previously awarded firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract (N65236-04-D-3119) for an increase in ceiling to cover the procurement of 14 AF Hub Terminals inclusive of spare and depot spare parts (estimated value $34,196,869) and 10 AN/USC-60A Terminals inclusive of spare and depot spare parts (estimated value $5,897,402). At least six of the hub terminals are replacing existing terminals that are currently deployed worldwide and are beyond economical repair. The other four terminals are to be issued to increase their SATCOM capabilities. This proposed action is considered to be a short-term solution for the procurement under the current contract until the follow on contracts are awarded in September 2005. The cumulative value of this contract, including this modification is $71,663,472, an increase of $40,092,162. This contract is expected to be completed by December 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This order was not competitively procured, and is a follow-on procurement to a competitively placed order. A notice of intent to increase the value of the existing contract was issued on Oct. 5, 2004. No responses were received. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, Charleston, S.C. is the contracting activity.

Exide Technologies, Aurora, Ill., is being awarded a $17,984,968 fixed price modification to previously awarded contract (N00164-01-C-0023) for 23 (ea) ASB and 3 (ea) PDX flooded lead acid main storage batteries for U.S. Navy submarine fleet requirements. The main storage batteries serve as a back-up power source for submarine nuclear reactors. Work will be performed in Kankakee, Ill., and is expected to be completed by March 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity.

ARMY

Capco Inc.*, Grand Junction, Colo., was awarded on Jan. 12, 2005, a $27,198,356 firm-fixed-price contract for 22,637 BSU-86A/B Fin Assemblies. Work will be performed in Grand Junction, Colo., and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on July 16, 2004, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Field Support Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (W52P1J-04-C-0079).

Insight Technology Inc.*, Londonderry, N.H., was awarded on Jan. 11, 2005, a $10,004,635 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for 10,687 M203 Day/Night Sights Rapid Fielding Initiative. Work will be performed in Londonderry, N.H., and is expected to be completed by Oct. 6, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Dec. 28, 2004. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15QKN-04-C-1147).

United Defense L.P., Minneapolis, Minn., was awarded on Jan. 11, 2005, a $5,731,458 firm-fixed-price contract for 155 Bonus Projectiles for the Sensor Fuzed Munitions Program. Work will be performed in Bofors, Sweden (72 percent) and Minneapolis, Minn. (28 percent), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 14, 2004. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15QKN-05-C-1185).

KDH Defense Systems Inc.*, Johnstown, Pa., was awarded on Jan. 12, 2005, a delivery order amount of $3,876,600 as part of an $11,076,000 firm-fixed-price contract for 420,000 pairs of elbow pads. Work will be performed in Johnstown, Pa., and is expected to be completed by Jan. 11, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Nov. 17, 2004, and eight bids were received. The U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command, Acquisition Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md., is the contracting activity (W91CRB-05-D-0002).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Special T Hosiery Mill Inc.,*(Small Business), Burlington, N.C., is being awarded a $5,292,000 firm fixed price indefinite delivery type contract for antimicrobial boot socks for the U.S. Army. The estimated performance completion date is June 07, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Proposals were solicited on the Web and 16 responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. (SP0100-05-D-0386)
