CONTRACTS

AIR FORCE

Aerojet General Corp., Sacramento, Calif., is being awarded a $48,000,000 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. The contractor will modify up to 40 SR19 Flex Sal rocket motors and to allow the SR19 motors to be utilized as a Stage 1 booster systems. In addition, the government will establish and fully fund deliver order 0001. At this time, $2,540,644 of the funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by April 2010. Negotiations were completed February 2005. The Headquarters Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity (FA88818-04-D-0018).

Madison Research Corp., Huntsville, Ala., is being awarded a $8,862,837 indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, cost-plus award-fee and cost reimbursement contract modification. The Technical and Acquisition Management Support Program provides a wide range of diverse non-engineering, technical and acquisition management support required in the acquisition, development, production, and support of various equipment and weapon systems with the Air Armament Center and other organizations at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. This is an option exercise to extend the term of the contract. This effort supports foreign military to Australia, Egypt, Korea, Netherlands, Saudia Arabia, Taiwan, and Israel. The location of performance is Madison Research Corp., Shalimar, Fla. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by September 2005. The Headquarters Air Armament Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08635-00-C-0041, P00038).

MacAulay-Brown, Dayton, Ohio, is being awarded a $4,054,270 indefinite delivery/Indefinite quantity, cost-plus award-fee and cost reimbursement contract modification to provide a wide range of diverse non-engineering, technical and acquisition management support required in the acquisition, development, production, and support of various equipment and weapon systems within the Air Armament Center and other organizations at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. This effort supports foreign military sales to Australia, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Israel, Korea, Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, and United Arab Emirates. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by September 2005. The Headquarters Air Armament Center, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the contracting activity (F08635-00-C-0040, P00038).

NAVY

TolTest Inc.*, Toledo, Ohio, is being awarded a $12,344,283 firm-fixed-price contract for replacement of hydrant fuel system at the air station at Lajes Field, Azores. Related work for this project includes the installation of two JP-8 storage tanks, the addition of a second Type III fueling system to the existing pumphouse, installation of nine new hydrant pits, installation of two new truck fillstands plus a pantograph checkout stand, and the demolition of the existing Area 7 fueling facility. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, engineering, materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, transportation required to perform all of the services described in the specifications for the contract, and incidental related work. Work will be performed in Lajes Field, Azores, and is expected to be completed by October 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 61 proposals solicited and three offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-05-C-5026).

Smiths Aerospace Inc., Electronic Systems, Grand Rapids, Mich., is being awarded a $6,495,588 fixed-price delivery order against a previously awarded firm-fixed-price requirements contract (N00019-04-D-0080) for the procurement of 33 AV-8B Harrier Aircraft Warfare Mission Computers. Work will be performed in Grand Rapids, Mich., and is expected to be completed in March 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $196,836 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

Northrop Grumman Corp., Laser Systems, Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $5,278,518 cost-plus-fixed-fee modification under previously awarded contract (N00164-04-C-8518) to exercise an option for procurement of two Improved Technology AN/PEQ-1B Special Operations Forces Laser Aiming Module prototypes. The AN/PEQ-1B is the specific laser range finding and designation unit for Special Operations Forces. The system provides capability to locate and designate critical enemy targets for destruction using laser-guided ordnance. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed by July 2006. Contract funds in the amount of $669,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Mansfield Oil Co.*, Gainesville, Ga., is being awarded a minimum $8,614,501 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract for Gasoline, Gasohol, and Diesel Fuels. Performance completion date is Aug. 31, 2009. Contract funds will expire at the end of fiscal year 2009. Two hundred twenty-eight proposals were submitted with 33 responses. The contracting activity is the Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va. (SP0600-05-D-4532).

UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Washington, D.C., is being awarded a maximum $5,953,694 firm fixed price contract as an add on to an existing long-term contract (SP0406-05-D-4061) for Weapons Systems Cable Assemblies and Wiring Harnesses to be provided to U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Federal Civilian Agencies. Contract will also be performed in Danbury, Conn.; Fairton, N.J.; Lexington, Ky.; Lompoc, Calif.; Loretto, Pa.; Memphis, Tenn.; and Oxford, Wis. Performance completion date is March 16, 2006. Contract funds will expire at the end of fiscal year 2006. This was a WEB based proposal and received eight (8) responses. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR), Richmond, Va. (SP0406-05-D-4061)

ARMY

Rockwell Collins Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was awarded on April 4, 2005, a delivery order amount of $2,800,000 as part of a $5,600,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for Integration of the Integrated Data Modem. Work will be performed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 9, 2002. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (DAAH23-03-D-0015).

Aircraft Dynamics Corp.*, Lima, Ohio, was awarded on April 5, 2005, a delivery order amount of $1,528,718 as part of a $9,385,193 firm-fixed-price contract for Electric Impact Wrenches to Service the M1 Abrams Tank. Work will be performed in Dayton, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by March 31, 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Jan. 18, 2005, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (W56HZV-05-D-0167).
