CONTRACTS

NAVY

Alion Science and Technology Corp., Chicago, Ill., is being awarded a $20,023,288 cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for technical services to develop an intelligent control system for swarming unmanned vehicles to demonstrate autonomous operations and cooperative behavior for persistent surveillance. Work will be performed in Morgantown, W. Va., and is expected to be completed in May 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured using Broad Agency Announcement, with one offer received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00421-05-D-0016).

ERAPSCO, Columbia City, Ind., is being awarded a $10,125,000 firm-fixed-price contract for AN/SSQ-101 sonobuoys and associated data. The AN/SSQ-101 sonobuoys are dropped from various airborne platforms and utilized for search and detection of submerged submarines. Work will be performed in Columbia City, Ind. (50 percent) and DeLeon Springs, Fla. (50 percent), and is expected to be completed by April 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity. (N00164-05-C-6763)

AIR FORCE

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Wash., is being awarded a $15,241,825 firm fixed price contract to provide for 15 each CALCM/ALCM test instrumentation kits for the Air Launched Cruise Missile and the Conventional Air Launched Cruise Missile and peripheral equipment. Total funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by August 2007. Solicitation began October 2004, and negotiations were completed April 2005. The Headquarters Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (FA8107-05-C-0003).

Lockheed Martin Corp., Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $5,142,825 firm fixed price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide for long lead Items for depot Phase II support of advanced targeting pods. The mission involves the Air Force (Air Combat Command) and the Air National Guard. The major objective of the program is to acquire state-of-the-art targeting pods to support F-16 and F-15 aircraft. At this time, $3,857,118 of the funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by December 2006. Solicitation began January 2005. The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-01-D-2029).

ARMY

Creative Times Inc.*, Ogden, Utah, was awarded on May 5, 2005, an $8,287,404 firm-fixed-price contract for additions and alterations to the Frank M. Browning Reserve Center. Work will be performed in Ogden, Utah, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 25, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 62 bids solicited on Dec. 15, 2004, and five bids were received. The Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity (W912QR-05-C-0010).

Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Co., Oak Brook, Ill., was awarded on May 5, 2005, a $7,891,500 firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance dredging and the Columbia River Channel improvement. Work will be performed in Astoria, Ore. (41 percent), Warrenton, Ore. (29 percent), Hammond, Ore. (7 percent), Skip anon, Ore. (7 percent), Ill Waco, Wash. (9 percent), and Chinook, Wash. (7 percent), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 20, 2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 54 bids solicited on April 22, 2005, and three bids were received. The Army Engineer District, Portland, Ore., is the contracting activity (W9127N-05-C-0012).

Beretta U.S.A. Corp., Accokeek, Md., was awarded on May 5, 2005, a $6,541,656 firm-fixed-price contract for M9 pistols. Work will be performed in Accokeek, Md., and is expected to be completed by June 17, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Feb. 23, 2005. The Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (W52H09-05-C-0130).

Thales-Raytheon Systems, Fullerton, Calif., was awarded on May 6, 2005, a $6,434,073 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for logistics and engineering/technical services for the basic and enhanced target range and classification sentinel radar and derivative systems. Work will be performed in Fullerton, Calif., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Nov. 23, 2004. The Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-05-C-0117).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

US Food Service Inc., Albuquerque, N.M., is being awarded a maximum $8,000,000 firm fixed price indefinite quantity contract for the Army, Air Force, and federal civilian agencies for full line food distribution for New Mexico and El Paso, Texas Region. Performance completion date is May 29, 2006. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were twenty-one proposals solicited and three responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP), Philadelphia, Pa. (SPM300-05-D3008).
