CONTRACTS

ARMY

Fluor Intercontinental Inc., Charlotte, N.C., was awarded on May 6, 2005, a delivery order amount of $53,572,848 as part of a $53,572,848 firm-fixed-price contract for Design and Construction of Afghan National Army Regional Brigade Facilities. Work will be performed in Afghanistan, and is expected to be completed by Jan. 30, 2006. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 10 bids solicited on Feb. 23, 2005, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Winchester, Va., is the contracting activity (W912ER-04-D-0004).

Lockheed Martin, Orlando, Fla., was awarded on April 29, 2005, a $12,000,000 modification to a cost-plus-incentive-fee contract for the Joint Common Missile Requirement. Work will be performed in Orlando, Fla., and is expected to be completed by Sept. 20, 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on May 22, 2003, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-04-C-0094).

The Purdy Corp.*, Manchester, Conn., was awarded on May 5, 2005, a delivery order amount of $7,294,530 as part of a $41,621,730 firm-fixed-price contract for Control Swashplates for the UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopters. Work will be performed in Manchester, Conn., and is expected to be completed by May 5, 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were two bids solicited on Feb. 28, 2005, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala., is the contracting activity (W58RGZ-05-D-0304).

Raytheon/Lockheed Martin JAVELIN (Joint Venture), Tucson, Ariz., was awarded on April 29, 2005, a $6,247,626 modification to a firm-fixed-price contract for JAVELIN Weapon Systems Hardware for the Navy. Work will be performed in Tucson, Ariz. (60 percent), and Orlando, Fla. (40 percent), and is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on May 22, 2003. The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (W31P4Q-04-C-0136).

Production Products Manufacturing and Sales Inc.*, St. Louis, Mo., was awarded on May 9, 2005, a delivery order amount of $2,597,499 as part of a $28,863,012 firm-fixed-price contract for M20A1 Simplified Collective Protection Equipment. Work will be performed in Fulton, Mo., and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on May 17, 2004, and two bids were received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Rock Island, Ill., is the contracting activity (W52H09-05-D-0118).

EG&G Technical Services Inc., Albuquerque, N.M., was awarded on May 2, 2005, a $2,536,000 increment as part of an $89,763,607 cost-plus-award-fee contract for Design and Development of the Lighting Kit Motion Detector AN/GAR-2. Work will be performed in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (83 percent), Redmond, Wash. (12 percent), and York, Pa. (2 percent), and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2010. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Oct. 29, 2004, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Alexandria, Va., is the contracting activity (W909MY-05-C-0020).

Washington State University, Pullman, Wash., was awarded on May 9, 2005, a $1,200,000 increment as part of a $10,386,015 cost-reimbursement contract for the P3 Power Generation System for Advanced Missile Defense Applications. Work will be performed in Pullman, Wash., and is expected to be completed by May 5, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 24, 2002. The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Huntsville, Ala., is the contracting activity (DASG60-02-C-0084).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

SYSCO of Seattle, Kent, Wash., is being awarded a $10,000,000 firm fixed price indefinite quantity type contract for the Navy for full line food distributor for Navy ships. Performance completion date is May 10, 2006. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Proposals were solicited on the WEB and three responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. (SPM300-05-D-3053).

Service Oil and Gas Inc.*, Glennallen, Alaska, is being awarded a $5,274,719 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract for the Army, Air Force and Federal Civilian Agencies for Diesel and Jet fuel. Performance completion date is September 30, 2007. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 75 proposals solicited and 19 responded. The contracting activity is the Defense Energy Support Center, Fort Belvoir, Va. (SP0600-05-D-1273).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Corp., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $6,099,339 firm fixed price contract modification. This modification increases the not-to-exceed and obligation values and extends the period of performance for Lot 5 Training System Support as a Capability effort through 31 December 2005. The location of performance is Lockheed Martin Corp., Marietta, Ga. At this time, $8,674,339 of the funds has been obligated. This work will be complete by December 2007. Solicitation began July 2004 and negotiations were completed May 2005. The Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8611-04-C-2851).

S Systems Corp., Los Angeles, Calif., is being awarded a $5,940,685 cost reimbursable, cost-plus-fixed-fee completion contract. The contractor shall provide the necessary materials, including any hardware, facilities, supplies, travel, labor, supplies, and services to perform Novel Optically diverse Applications research in accordance with the contractors statement of work dated 23 November 2004 for the Air Force Research Laboratory, Directed Energy Directorate, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. The location of performance is S Systems Corp. to perform at Optical Components Engineering Lab Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. At this time, $210,600 of the funds have been obligated. This work will be complete by May 2010. Solicitation began December 2003 and negotiations were completed April 2005. The Air Force Research Laboratory, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M., is the contracting activity (FA9451-04-C-0067).
