USA Environmental Inc.*, Tampa, Fla., is being awarded a not to exceed $50,000,000 cost plus award fee, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for munitions response and incidental environmental remediation at sites which potentially contain munitions and explosives of concern. The total contract amount is for base year and four one-year options, with a guaranteed minimum of $6,000. Work will be performed in Alaska (45 percent); Washington (40 percent); Hawaii (3 percent) and other sites worldwide (12%). The term of the contract is not to exceed 60 months, with an expected completion date of July 2006 (July 2010 with options). Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the NAFAC e-solicitation website with four offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Pacific, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity (N62742-05-D-1868).

FLIR Systems Inc., North Billerica, Mass., is being awarded a $9,865,635 cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price contract for repairs, upgrades and application engineering services and spares for the Maritime Forward-Looking Infrared AN/KAX-1 and AN/KAX-2 systems. The contract is for both Coast Guard and Coastal Patrol customers. This effort is a follow-on repair and upgrade contract. Work will be performed in North Billerica, Mass., and is expected to be completed by August 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., is the contracting activity (N00164-05-D-8565).


Northrop Grumman of Linthicum, Md., was awarded Aug. 1, 2005, a $37,502,620 firm-fixed price contract for vehicular intercom systems. Work will be performed at Northrop Grummans Reston, Va., facilities and will be completed by Jan. 31, 2007. Walsh Construction Co. of Chicago, Ill., was awarded Aug. 2, 2005, a $17,467,000 firm-fixed price military construction contract to renovate Specker Barracks at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo. There were two bids solicited on July 7, 2005, and two bids were received. Work will be performed on Fort Leonard Wood and is estimated to be completed by Oct. 19, 2006. Northrop Grumman of Linthcum, Md. is being awarded a $22,000,000 cost plus incentive fee contract for the demonstration of their Viper Strike munition as a Stand-off Precision Guided Munition (SO PGM) on the AC-130 gunship. The work will be performed out of Huntsville, Ala., and is being incrementally funded based on performance. The initial increment of work should be completed in December 2005 and all Initial Proof of Concept work is to be completed December 2006. This Advanced Concept of Technology Demonstration contract was awarded sole source. (H92222-05-C-0020)
