AIR FORCE
 
            Comtech Systems Inc., Orlando, Fla., is being awarded a $28,673,088 firm fixed price contract.  This provides for the purchase of 184 troposcatter modem upgrade kits to support the Air Force, Army, and Marine Corps requirements.  At this time, $5,401,890 has been obligated.  Solicitations began March 2006 and negotiations were complete May 2006.  This work will be complete July 2007.  Headquarters Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the contracting activity (FA8539-06-C-0004).
 
            United Technologies Corp., East Hartford, Conn., is being awarded a $5,000,000 firm fixed price contract.  This action provides for advanced procurement for 40 F119 engines, in support of the F-22 aircraft.  At this time, $3,810,000 has been obligated.  This work will be complete December 2006.  Headquarters Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8611-06-C-2900).
 
ARMY
 
            GM GDLS Defense Group L.L.C., Sterling Heights, Mich., was awarded on May 17, 2006, a delivery order amount of $8,921,687 as part of a $79,376,850 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the retrofit of Stryker vehicles with the remote weapon station Block I configuration.  Work will be performed in Sterling Heights, Mich. (9.3 percent), Ft. Lewis, Wash. (.4 percent), London Ontario, Canada (18.5 percent), and Kongsberg, Norway (71.8 percent), and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2006.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This was a sole source contract initiated on June 14, 2005.  The Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting activity (DAAE07-00-D-M051).
