AIR FORCE

Lockheed Martin Aerospace Corporation, North Las Vegas, Nev., was awarded on August 30, a $19,803,260 face value increase to a cost plus award fee contract to provide for FY 1997 operation and maintenance of electronic threats and targets on the Air Warfare Center Range Complex, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev. Contract is expected to be completed September 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The 99th Contracting Squadron, Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., is the contracting activity (F26600-95/C-0037, P00038).

Lockheed Martin Federal Systems Company, Owego, N.Y., was awarded on August 30, a $7,322,038 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to provide for radar upgrades to 28 MC-130H aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed December 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-83/C-0264, P00286).

McDonnell Douglas Corporation, St. Louis, Mo., is being awarded a $120,000,000 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to provide for various support equipment for the F-15S aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed January 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-93/C-2054, P00006).

United Technologies Corporation, West Palm Beach, Fla., is being awarded a $5,100,000 face value increase to a cost plus award fee contract to provide for redesign of the Full Authority Digital Electronic control and the Comprehensive Engine Diagnostic Unit applicable to the F119 engine on the F-22 aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed May 2002. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-91/C-0007, P00134).

 

 

 

Rockwell International Corporation, Downey, Calif., is being awarded a $179,175,108 cost plus fixed fee contract to provide for risk reduction effort for a cost-effective alternate design concept for the Space and Missile Tracking System (SMTS) Low Earth Orbit (LEO) component of the Space Based Infrared System architecture. Contract is expected to be completed September 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 23 firms solicited and one proposal received. Solicitation began June 1996; negotiations were complete August 1996. Space and Missile Systems Center, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity (F04701-96/C-0044).

Keystone Engineering Company, Los Angeles, Calif., is being awarded a $32,000,000 time and materials contract to provide for overhaul/repair of the Antenna Pedestal Turntable bearing on the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System aircraft. Contract funds expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There was one proposal received. Solicitation began June 1996; negotiations were completed August 1996. This effort supports foreign military sales to Saudi Arabia and may include France and the United Kingdom. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., is the contracting activity (F34601-96/C- 0311).

ARMY

The Scruggs Company, Valdosta, Ga., was awarded on August 30, 1996, a $10,424,620 firm fixed price contract to extend the north end of the runway at Moody Air Force Base with new asphalt overrun and concrete pavements; replace deteriorated asphalt and concrete surfaces; reconstruct the touchdown area, aircraft arresting barrier, and at the south end of the runway construct new taxiways and provide shoulders for existing taxiways; and include airfield lighting, markings, and runway grooving. Work will be performed at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, and is expected to be completed by May 1, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 80 bids solicited on June 13, 1996, and eight bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Ga. (DACA21-96-C-0073).

MEDCAM (joint venture), Wichita Falls, Texas, is being awarded an indefinite quantity with firm fixed price delivery order contract (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) for $34,529,105, with a potential cumulative total of $50,000,000 (base year with 4 one- year options), for the operation and maintenance of MEDCOM Hospitals. Work will be performed in medical facilities nationwide, including Hawaii, Alaska, and the Caribbean area, and is expected to be completed by August 31, 2001. There were 100 bids solicited on May 21, 1996, and three bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala. (DACA01-96-D-0051).

NAVY

Mid Eastern Builders, Incorporated, Chesapeake, Va., is being awarded an $5,003,206 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of an Operations Support Facility at the Special Operations Command, Naval Special Warfare Group Two, Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Norfolk, Va. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by March 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 111 proposals solicited and ten offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N62470-94-C-4110).

National Steel & Shipbuilding, San Diego, Calif., is being awarded a $9,922,249 firm-fixed-price contract for the Extended Drydocking Selected Restricted Availability (EDSRA) of USS ELLIOT (DD 976). Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by March 1997. Contract funds in the amount of $2,708,149 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with three proposals solicited and two offers received. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding, Conversion and Repair, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62791-96-C-0155).

American Systems Engineering Corporation, Virginia Beach, Va., is being awarded a $6,656,994 indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing contract for training system engineering services for the AEGIS Training Center, Dahlgren, Va. Work will be performed in Dahlgren, Va. (82%), Wallops Island, Va. (6%), San Diego, Calif. (6%), and Norfolk, Va. (6%), and is expected to be completed by September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 148 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren,Va. (N00178-97-D- 2008).

ITT Federal Services Corporation, Kekaha, Hawaii, is being awarded a $17,807,733 modification to previously awarded contract N68936-93-C-0125 for range operations support services in support of the Pacific Missile Range Facility, Kauai, Hawaii. This contract contains options which, if exercised, will bring the cumulative value of the contract to $87,401,880. Work will be performed in Kauai, Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by September 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 86 proposals solicited and five offers received. The Regional Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is the contracting activity.
