AIR FORCE
 
            The Orbital Sciences Corp., of Sterling, Va., is being awarded a contract for $29,481,249.  The Air Force Research Laboratory Space Vehicles Directorate at Kirtland Air Force Base N.M. is procuring an innovative technology solution for a nanosatellite capable of independently providing localized Space Situational Awareness and anomaly characterization of the local space environment of a host of satellite. The nanosatellite will be capable of flight experimentation by early FY2010. The nanosatellite has a one year mission life at GEO, with a goal for 3 years of operational life from launch.  The vehicle is capable of direct, secure, and AFSCN compatible ground communications; allows operation with minimal ground intervention, without reliance on the host. Nanosatellite is compact, affordable, and efficiently designed to have an absolute minimum impact on a host asset. At this time $2,300,000 has been obligated. AFRL, Detachment 8, Kirtland Air Force Base N.M., is the contracting activity (FA9453-08-C-0173).
 
ARMY
 
            LDV Inc.*, Cleveland, Ohio, was awarded on Nov. 5, 2007, a $26,495,000 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of the Armed Forces Reserve Center. Work will be performed in Whitehall, Ohio, and is expected to be completed by Nov. 30, 2009. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on July 10, 2007, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky., is the contracting activity (W912QR-08-C-0002).
 
            Raytheon Co., McKinney, Texas, was awarded on Nov. 6, 2007, a delivery order amount of $11,000,000 as part of an $800,000,000 firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for common sensors for the Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter-70A and Extended Range/MP Unmanned Aerial Vehicle.  Work will be performed in McKinney, Texas, and is expected to be completed by Oct. 31, 2016. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on April 24, 2007, and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, N.J., is the contracting activity (W15P7T-08-D-S602).
 
            CSI Armoring*, Miami, Fla., was awarded on Nov. 6, 2007, a delivery order amount of $7,595,002 as part of a $7,595,002 firm-fixed-price contract for armored sport utility vehicles.  Work will be performed in Miami, Fla. (71 percent), Chula Vista, Calif. (5 percent), and Dubai, U.A.E. (24 percent), and is expected to be completed by April 24, 2008. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were six bids solicited on Aug. 13, 2007, and 14 bids were received. The Multi-National Security Transition Command, Baghdad, Iraq, is the contracting activity (W91GY0-08-F-0001).
 
            Vertigo Inc.*, Lake Elsinore, Calif., was awarded on Nov. 6, 2007, a delivery order amount of $5,071,246 as part of a $5,071,246 firm-fixed-price contract for procurement of the Air-Supported Tent, Extendable, Modular, Personnel used for reset of the Force Provider Base Camps.  Work will be performed in Lake Elsinore, Calif., is expected to be completed by Nov. 5, 2012. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This was a sole source contract initiated on Oct. 10, 2007. The U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command, Natick, Mass., is the contracting activity (W58P05-08-D-0001).
 
DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
 
            The IJ Co., Valdosta, Ga., is being awarded a $23,750,000.00 firm fixed price, prime vendor, indefinite quantity contract for subsistence support.  Using services are Navy, Federal Civilian Agencies, and National Guard.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This proposal was originally WEB solicited with 3 responses.  Date of performance completion is Oct. 16, 2008.  The contracting activity is Defense Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia Pa. (SPM300-07-D-3096).
 
            Essex PB&R Corp., Saint Louis, Mo.,* is being awarded a maximum $8,501,760.00 firm fixed price, requirements type quantity contract for Emergency Passenger Oxygen System (EPOS).  Using service is Air Force.  This is a 5 year contract with a 1 year base period and four 1-year options.  Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  This sole source proposal was originally DIBBS solicited with 1 response.  Date of performance completion is Nov. 6, 2008.  The contracting activity is Defense Supply Center Richmond, Richmond, Va. (SPM4A7-08-D-0035).
 
NAVY
 
            Pyramid Services, Inc.*, Asheboro, N.C., is being awarded a $7,839,301 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity contract for base operating support services, at the Naval Air Facility, El Centro. This contract contains four options, and five award options, which if exercised would bring the contract value to a not to exceed value of $91,808,028. Work will be performed in El Centro, Calif., and work is expected to be completed September 2008 (September 2017 with options). Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured as a set-aside for small business concerns via the Naval Facilities Engineering Command e-solicitation website, with four proposals received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southwest, Public Works, El Centro, Calif., is the contracting activity (N62473-08-D-2301).
