NAVY
In addition to the contracts listed in Department of Defense release number
636-94, the following contract was also awarded on November 9, 1994:
Martin Marietta Technologies, Inc., Baltimore, Maryland, is being awarded a
$309,802,338 firm-fixed price contract for production of MK 41 Vertical
Launching Systems, installation support and ancillary hardware. The base
contract is for fiscal year 1994 requirements in the amount of $124,758,270 and
will contain options for fiscal years 1995 and 1996 requirements totaling an
additional $185,044,068. Work will be performed in Baltimore, Maryland, and
Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is expected to be completed by April 2001. None of
the contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The
contract was not competitively procured. (N00024-94-C-5300)
