CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY
Nova Group, Incorporated, Napa, California, is being awarded a $330,000
increment as part of a $10,237,000 firm fixed price contract for construction
of 1,790 feet of concrete-lined channel; a 200-foot wedge shaped concrete
entrance transition, 830 feet of earth levee; 490 feet of concrete floodwall;
450 feet of concrete-rubble-masonry floodwall; four bridge replacements;
removing one public, one business, and six residential structures; and access
and maintenance roads of channel construction and maintenance. Work will be
performed in Hilo, Island of Hawaii, and is expected to be completed by May 27,
1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
There were 36 bids solicited on September 2, 1994, and 8 bids received. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Shafter, Hawaii
(DACW83-95-C-0004).
NAVY
Bell Atlantic Federal Systems, of Silver Spring, Maryland, is being awarded a
$21,878,359 firm fixed-price, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract
for Base Telecommunications System. Work will be performed at Naval Air
Warfare Center Aircraft Division located in Patuxent River, Maryland. This
contract is expected to be completed within 84 months from award. Contract
funds for the minimum guarantee will expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. This contract was competitively procured with three bids received. The
contracting activity is the Naval Information Systems Management Center
(N68939-95-D-0003).
Martin Marietta Corporation, Pittsfield, Massachusetts is being awarded a
$5,152,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to provide alternate technologies and
investigative concepts to enhance the targeting capabilities for the TRIDENT II
strategic retargeting system program, and develop, design, evaluate and enhance
man-machine interfaces and computer peripherals for the period 1 October 1994
through 31 December 1995. The contract was not competitively procured. Work
will be performed in Pittsfield, MA. Strategic Systems Programs is the
contracting activity (N00030-95-C-0008).
Ingalls Shipbuilding, Inc., Pascagoula, Mississippi, is being awarded a
$40,712,841 cost-plus-fixed-fee option under contract N00024-91-C-2803 for
planning yard services for CG-47 Ticonderoga class cruisers. Work will be
performed in Pascagoula, MS, and is expected to be completed by September 1995.
None of the contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
