Sonalysts, Inc., Waterford, Connecticut, is being awarded a $16,730,427
cost-plus-fixed-fee (term and completion), indefinite delivery/indefinite
quantity contract for development of operational guidelines, system manuals,
and related software for passive and active sub-sonar systems. Work will be
performed in Waterford, Connecticut (90%), New London, Connecticut (5%), and at
various locations throughout the world (5%), and is expected to be completed by
November 1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. This contract was competitively procured with 51 proposals solicited and
one offer received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the
contracting activity (N66604-95-D-0011).
General Dynamics Corporation, Electric Boat Division, Groton, Connecticut, is
being awarded a $14,708,538 modification to previously awarded contract
N00024-91-C-4195 for propulsion plant design analysis under the Naval Nuclear
Propulsion Program. Work will be performed in Groton, Connecticut. Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea
Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
AIR FORCE
Loral Federal Systems-Owego, Owego, New York, is being awarded an $11,278,898
firm fixed price contract. This contract provides for upgrade of 36 CC-2
computers to the CC-2E configuration for the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control
Systems (AWACS) aircraft and associated simulators, trainers and support
facilities. Contract is expected to be completed in March 2000. Contract
funds of $11,278,898 will expire at the end of the fiscal year. One bid was
solicited. The solicitation was issued December 1993 and negotiations were
completed October 1994. The Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base,
Massachusetts, is the contracting activity (F19628-95-C-0012).
