DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY
Monfort Incorporated, Greeley, Colorado, is being awarded an estimated
$19,639,952 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract for the resale
of beef items for the Central Region Commissaries. Forty-two proposals were
solicited and five were received. Work will be performed in Cactus, Texas, and
is expected to be completed by August 31, 1995. This contract contains two
one-year options. Funds will not expire at the end of the fiscal year. The
Defense Personnel Support Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the
contracting activity (SPO300- 95-D-M009).
National Beef Packing Company, Kansas City, Missouri, is being awarded an
estimated $10,308,954 fixed price with economic price adjustment contract for
the resale of beef items for the Central Region Commissaries. Forty-two
proposals were solicited and five were received. Work will be performed in
Liberal, Kansas, and is expected to be completed by August 31, 1995. This
contract contains two one-year options. Funds will not expire at the end of

NAVY
Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler, Washington, D.C., is being awarded a
$9,260,329 indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a
cost-plus-fixed-fee pricing arrangement for program management support services
for the Cruise Missile Project Office and the Ship Self Defense Program Office.
Work will be performed in Dahlgren, Virginia, and is expected to be completed
by November 1999. Contract funds in the amount of $400,190 will expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with
258 proposals solicited and eight offers received. The Naval Surface Warfare
Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Virginia, is the contracting activity
(N00178-95-D-2006).
Ingalls Shipbuilding, Inc., Pascagoula, Mississippi, is being awarded a
$28,730,122 firm-fixed-price contract for the conversion of the USS Inchon (LPH
12) to a Mine Countermeasures Support (MCS) ship and associated data, technical
manuals, and provisioning technical documentation. Work will be performed in
Pascagoula, Mississippi, and is expected to be completed by January 1996.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This
contract was competitively procured with 15 proposals solicited and five offers
received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting
activity (N00024-95-C-2300).
ARMY
Stevedoring Services of America, Savannah, Georgia, is being awarded a
$$7,008,799 (potential value $15,086,581 if 2 one-year options are exercised)
firm fixed price, indefinite quantity contract for stevedoring and related
terminal services (to load and unload ships for a 2 year period, with 2
additional one-year options). Work will be performed in North Charleston,
South Carolina (75%), and Savannah, Georgia (25%), and is expected to be
completed by November 30, 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of
the current fiscal year. There were 20 bids solicited on April 1, 1994, and 5
bids received. The contracting activity is the Military Traffic Management
Command, Falls Church, Virginia (DAHC24-95-D-0001).
GTE Government Systems Corporation, Taunton, Massachusetts, is being awarded a
$5,395,656 increment as part of a delivery order amount of $8,993,496 for a
firm fixed price/time and material/cost plus fixed fee contract for services
and support for the Mobile Subscriber Equipment System (MSE). MSE serves the
function of an advanced telephone system which offers mobile, automatic, and
secure voice; data, and facsimile communications to mobile and static
subscribers. Work will be performed in Taunton, Massachusetts, and is expected
to be completed by September 30, 1995. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. There were 143 bids solicited on February 7,
1984, and 2 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army
Communications and Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey
(DAAB07-86-D-K023).
Hughes Missile Systems Company, Tucson, Arizona, is being awarded a
$20,891,231 modification to a firm fixed price contract for FY94 TOW Missile
options: 1,000 TOW 2B, 17 TOW 2A, and 305 TOW 2A practice missiles. Work will
be performed in Tucson, Arizona, and is expected to be completed by September
30, 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. This is a sole source contract initiated on June 14, 1991. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal,
Alabama (DAAH01-92-C-0260).
