NAVY
Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company, Newport News, Virginia, is
being awarded a $33,512,250 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and
development studies in support of the Advanced Submarine Project Office and the
Seawolf Submarine Program. Work will be performed in Newport News, Virginia,
and is expected to be completed by October 1997. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not
competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is

Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, Stratford, Connecticut, is being awarded a
$7,920,000 ceiling priced order to provide 36 transmission housings for the
CH-53D helicopter. Work will be performed in Stratford, Connecticut, and is
expected to be completed by December 1996. Contract funds will not expire at
the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively
procured. The Naval Aviation Supply Office, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the

ARMY
The University of Massachusetts, Amherst, in Amherst, Massachusetts, is
being awarded a $2,951,000 increment as part of a $6,951,000 base year,
cumulative total $15,351,000 with three one-year options, cost reimbursement
contract on December 29, 1994. This contract is for the design and development
of the Large Millimeter Telescope, which is a joint effort with the government
of Mexico. The work will be performed in Amherst, Massachusetts, and is
expected to be completed by October 21, 1996. Contract funds will not expire
at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract
initiated in August 1994. The contracting activity is the Advanced Research

AIR FORCE
Allied Signal, Columbia, Maryland, is being awarded a $200,000,000 (Estimated)
indefinite quantity contract for depot level support for the common user
element of the Air Force Satellite Control Network. The work will be performed
at Colorado Springs and other sites worldwide. Contract is expected to be
completed September 2001. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. Sixty-six bids were solicited and two proposals were
received. The solicitation was issued July 1994 and negotiations were
completed December 1994. The Sacramento Air Logistics Center, McClellan Air

Harris Corporation, Government Information Systems Division, Melbourne,
Florida, is being awarded a $49,500,000 (Estimated) indefinite
quantity/indefinite delivery contract for Consolidated System Support Services
for the command, control and communication segment of the Defense
Meteorological Satellite Program. The work will be performed at Bellevue,
Nebraska and various locations worldwide. Contract is expected to be completed
September 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. Eighty-bids were solicited. The solicitation was issued August
1994 and negotiations were completed December 1994. The Sacramento Air
Logistics Center, McClellan Air Force Base, California, is the contracting

Science Applications International Corporation, San Diego, California, is
being awarded a $24,000,000 (Maximum) indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery
contract for on-call technical engineering and analysis on technologies and
subsystems of current and projected foreign weapon programs. These relate to
the United States' Ballistic Missile Defense, Air Defense Intercept and
Anti-Ballistic System programs. Contract is expected to be completed January
2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
