ARMY
Light Helicopter Turbine Engine Company, St. Louis, Missouri, was awarded on
January 5, 1995, a $22,817,088 modification to a cost plus fixed fee contract
for FY95 incremental funding for the T801 Comanche Helicopter Growth Engine
full scale development program. Work will be performed in Phoenix, Arizona
(50%) and Indianapolis, Indiana (50%), and is expected to be completed by
September 30, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current
fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on August 25, 1991. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command, St. Louis,
Missouri (DAAJ09-92-C-0453).
C O R R E C T I O N
Contract DAAB07-95-D-E604 announced January 6, 1995 was incorrect. The
announcement should have read:
TRW Incorporated, Systems Engineering and Development Division, Carson,
California, is being awarded an increment (appropriation number and dollar
value will be issued with each delivery order) as part of an estimated ceiling
price of $282,800,000 cost plus incentive fee/firm fixed price/time and
materials contract for the development and test of a set of applique hardware
and integration of government furnished software for use in Brigade 96 and
Division 97 battlefield digitization experiments. The applique is a set of
digitization equipment which can be installed on various militarized platforms.
This equipment will be used to provide situational awareness and operational
control of these combat and combat support platforms using application
software. Work will be performed in Dominquez Hills, California (90%) and
Ocean, New Jersey (10%), and is expected to be completed by January 5, 2000.
This was a broad agency announcement in the Commerce Business Daily on August
19, 1994, and 4 bids were received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army
Communications and Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey
(DAAB07-95-D-E604).

Raytheon Company, Electromagnetic Systems Division, Goleta, California, is
being awarded a $14,786,189 cost-plus-fixed-fee letter contract for 220 ALE-50
decoy assemblies for the F/A-18 and F-14 aircraft. The ALE-50 is an electronic
countermeasure system designed to decoy radar guided missiles away from strike
aircraft. Work will be performed in Goleta, California, and is expected to be
completed by December 1996. Contract funds in the amount of $5,700,000 would
have expired at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not
competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is
the contracting activity (N00019-94-C-0233).
