DEFENSE INFORMATION SYSTEMS AGENCY

Mobile Telesystems, Inc., Gaithersburg, MD is being awarded an estimated $8,907,062 firm fixed price requirements contract for purchase or lease with option to purchase of Standard type "A" and "M" type INMARSAT terminals as well as maintenance, training, spare parts kits and manuals. Twenty-five offers were solicited; two proposals were received for Standard Type "A" and six were received for Standard Type "M." The Defense Information Technology Contracting Office, Scott AFB, Ill., is the contracting office. (DCA200-95-D-0034).

ARMY

McKnight Construction Company, Augusta, Georgia, is being awarded a $10,669,708 modification to a firm fixed price construction contract for Phase II, a Consolidated Maintenance Facility (184,000 square feet). Supporting facilities include utilities, information systems, fire protection and alarm systems, paving, walks, curbs and gutters, storm drainage, parking, electrical service, security fencing and lighting, and site improvement. Work will be performed at Fort Gordon, Georgia, and is expected to be completed by November 9, 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 89 bids solicited on June 27, 1994, and 3 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah, Georgia (DACA21-94-C-0192).

Dynamics Corporation of America, Fermont Division, Bridgeport, Connecticut, is being awarded a $57,103,437 firm fixed price, indefinite delivery requirements type contract for tactical quiet generators of various kilowatt (KW) and hertz (HZ), as follows: 960 each 5KW/60HZ, 5 each 10KW/400HZ, 710 each 10KW/60HZ, 229 each 15KW/400HZ, 346 each 15KW/60HZ, 52 each 30KW/400HZ, 1,190 each 30KW/60HZ, 68 each 60KW/400HZ, and 667 each 60KW/60HZ. Work will be performed in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and is expected to be completed by December 30, 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 25 bids solicited on March 30, 1995, and 9 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Aviation and Troop Command, St. Louis, Missouri (DAAK01-94-D-0036).

NAVY

Pickus Construction & Equipment Company, Inc., Waukegan, Illinois, is being awarded a $21,360,800 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a damage control school at the Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois. Work is expected to be completed by August 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 61 proposals solicited and nine offers received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, Charleston, South Carolina, is the contracting activity (N62467-93-C-1143).

General Dynamics Corporation, Electric Boat Division, Groton, Connecticut, is being awarded a $36,545,519 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for development and design engineering technical services in support of the SSN 21 Seawolf and Advanced Submarine Research Programs. Work will be performed in Groton, Connecticut, and is expected to be completed by December 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity (N00024-95-C-2107).

Honeywell, Inc., Clearwater, Florida, is being awarded a $7,711,571 modification to previously awarded contract N00030-94-C-0069 for Trident MK-6 guidance system accelerometers. Work will be performed in Clearwater, Florida, and is expected to be completed by December 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Navy's Strategic Systems Program, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
