ARMY

Alliant Techsystems Incorporated, Hopkins, Minnesota, is being awarded $68,790,445 (FY95 funds) as part of a $242,690,861 (cumulative total) multi-year firm fixed price contract for 37,158 M831A1 120mm cartridges (high explosive round), and 100,228 M865 120mm cartridges (kinetic training round), for the M1A1 and M1A2 Abrams tanks, for the countries of Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Work will be performed at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1999. There were 2 bids solicited on June 30, 1994, and 2 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions, and Chemical Command, Rock Island, Illinois (DAAA09-95-C-0037).

Olin Ordnance, St. Petersburg, Florida, is being awarded $52,728,232 (FY95 funds) as part of a $187,037,499 (cumulative total) multi-year firm fixed price contract for 24,440 M831A1 120mm cartridges (high explosive round), and 66,492 M865 120mm cartridges (kinetic training round), for the M1A1 and M1A2 Abrams tanks, for the country of Egypt. Work will be performed at the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant, Middletown, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1999. There were 2 bids solicited on June 30, 1994, and 2 bids received. International Technology Corporation, Martinez, California, is being awarded $200,000 as part of a $180,000,000 (base period 4 years with 2 3-year option periods) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract (cost reimbursement) for the Total Environmental Restoration Contract (TERC) remediation in support of Fort Ord and the Presidio of San Francisco, California. The contract is for hazardous toxic radiological waste (HTRW) remediation-related tasks to specific sites, and will include site definition, studies, and remedial investigations. Work will be performed at Fort Ord, California, and is expected to be completed by February 1, 2005. Of the total contract funds, $200,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 217 bids solicited on December 16, 1993, and 8 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, California (DACA05-95-D-0001).

NAVY

Carothers Construction, Inc., Water Valley, Mississippi, is being awarded a $18,719,000 firm-fixed-price contract for renovations to existing buildings at Naval Air Station, Pensacola, to convert them to a technical training complex, an Air Traffic Control School. Work will be performed in Pensacola, Florida, and is expected to be completed by August 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with seventy-five offers solicited and five bids received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Southern Division, Charleston, South Carolina, is the contracting activity (N62467-94-C-0828).

Westinghouse Electronic Corporation, Electronic Systems Group, Annapolis, Maryland, is being awarded a $43,402,269 cost-plus-award-fee contract for the Near-Term Mine Reconnaissance System operational prototype. (This amount includes $12,500,000 previously announced for a maximum priced contract.) Work will be performed in Annapolis, Maryland, and is expected to be completed by January 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was awarded on a sole source basis. The Naval Sea Systems Command is the contracting activity (N00024-94-C-6168).

Grumman Aerospace Corporation, Bethpage, New York, is being awarded a $10,000,000 ceiling-priced modification to exercise an option for long lead material for two E-2C aircraft for the Government of France. Work will be performed in St. Augustine, Florida (75%), Bethpage, New York (24%) and Milleldgeville, Florida (1%), and is expected to be completed by December 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. These aircraft are being purchased under the Foreign Military Sales Program. The Naval Air Systems Command is the contracting activity (N00019-94-C-0020).

Loral Systems Company, Akron, Ohio, is being awarded a $5,475,000 firm-fixed-price contract to perform work associated with an engineering change proposal for the Army's Simulated Area Weapons Effect/Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System II. Work will be performed in Pomona, California (80%), and La Mesa, Mexico (20%), and is expected to be completed by June 1995. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 78 offers solicited and 2 bids received. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division, Orlando, Florida, is the contracting activity (N61339-89-C-0098).

AIR FORCE

AlliedSignal Aerospace, AlliedSignal Engines, Phoenix, Arizona, is being awarded a $7,907,500 (Estimated) firm-fixed-price contract for repair and overhaul of Airframe Mounted Accessory Drives applicable to the F-15 aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed June 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Thirteen bids were solicited and fourteen proposals were received. The solicitation was issued September 1994 and negotiations were completed February 1995. The San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly Air Force Base, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41608-95-D-0405).

General Electric Company, Cincinnati , Ohio, is being awarded a $5,138,378 firm-fixed-price contract for 175 Second Stage Fan Rotor Disks applicable to the F-110-GE-100. Contract is expected to be completed February 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. One bid was solicited and one proposal was received. The solicitation was issued January 1995. Approximately one percent of this effort is in support of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to Turkey. The Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma is the contracting activity (F34601-92-G-0010-0276).
