ARMY
Olin Defense Systems/Winchester Group, Independence, Missouri, is being
awarded a $7,357,894 modification to a cost plus award fee contract for the
operation and maintenance of a government owned/contractor operated facility.
Work will be performed at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, Independence,
Missouri, and is expected to be completed by September 30, 1995. Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 17
bids solicited on October 3, 1984, and 7 bids received. The contracting
activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions, and Chemical Command, Rock
Island, Illinois (DAAA09-91-Z-0009).
NAVY
Centennial Contractors Enterprises, Inc., Reston, Virginia, is being awarded
an indefinite quantity job order contract with a not-to-exceed value of
$8,000,000 for construction, maintenance, and repair of government facilities.
This contract contains options, which if exercised, will bring the total
cumulative value of the contract to $40,000,000. Work will be performed in
Norfolk, Virginia (80%), Virginia Beach, Virginia (10%), and Portsmouth,
Virginia (10%), and is expected to be completed by February 1996. Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was
competitively procured with 66 proposals solicited and seven offers received.
The Officer in Charge, Facilities Support Contracts, Navy Public Works Center
Norfolk, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N62470-93-D-5503).
Bath Iron Works Corporation, Bath, Maine, is being awarded a $28,203,173
modification to previously awarded contract N00024-91-C-2800 to exercise an
option for Lead Yard Class Services for DDG 51 Class AEGIS destroyers. Work
will be performed in Bath, Maine, and is expected to be completed by December
1995. Contract funds in the amount of $5,000,000 will expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the
contracting activity (N00024-91-C-2800).
AIR FORCE
Allison Engine Company, Indianapolis, Indiana, is being awarded a $43,210,063
cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. This contract provides for development of a
variable cycle core engine to meet the temperature and thrust targets
established by Phase II of the Integrated High Performance Turbine Technologies
(IHPTET) program. The work will be performed at Indianapolis, Indiana (54%)
and Cincinnati, Ohio (46%). Contract is expected to be completed February 1998.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Two
proposals were received. The solicitation was issued April 1994 and
negotiations were completed December 1994. The Wright Laboratory,
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity
