CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY
Midwest Foundation Corporation, Tremont, Illinois, is being awarded a
$1,050,000 increment as part of a $6,627,393 firm fixed price construction
contract for major rehabilitation, Stage 18, of Lock and Dam No. 13, on the
Mississippi River. Work will be performed in Whiteside County, Illinois and
Clinton County, Iowa, and is expected to be completed by September 5, 1996.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There
were 785 bids solicited on December 19, 1994, and 4 bids received. The
contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island, Illinois
(DACW25-95-C-0027).
NAVY
McLaughlin Research Corporation (MRC), New London, Connecticut, is being
awarded a $6,594,820 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for an estimated 258,250
manhours of engineering and technical services to support the Surface Launcher
Systems Programs at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, Rhode
Island. Work will be performed in Newport, Rhode Island, and is expected to be
completed by March 2000. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 57
proposals solicited and three offers received. The Naval Undersea Warfare
Center Division, Newport, Rhode Island, is the contracting activity
