ARMY

United Defense LP, Ground Systems Division, York, Pennsylvania, is being awarded a $48,545,622 firm fixed price contract for 54 M109A5 Self Propelled Howitzers. Work will be performed in York, Pennsylvania (95%), and Aiken, South Carolina (5%), and is expected to be completed by July 31, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on November 16, 1993. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament and Chemical Acquisition and Logistics Activity, Rock Island, Illinois (DAAE20-95-C-0176).

Head, Incorporated*, Columbus, Ohio, is being awarded a $7,793,705 firm fixed price contract for construction of a 1,000 foot runway extension, a 500 foot overrun and runway lighting relocation. Work will be performed at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, and is expected to be completed by April 15, 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 5 bids solicited on March 15, 1995, and 5 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Alabama (DACA01-95-C-0081).

The Gardner Zemke Company, Albuquerque, New Mexico, is being awarded a $4,500,000 increment as part of a $16,373,200 firm fixed price contract for an electronic enhancements project consisting of replacement of two perimeter security zones, including preparation of new security beds; installation of a new power distribution system; installation of contractor and government furnished security equipment; installation of fiber optic interface cabinets; replacement of CCTV camera and towers; realignment/replacement of security fencing; modification of guard towers; replacement of security lighting system of one of the perimeter security zones; replacement of interior security system within 120 buildings and ramps including installation of security devices, cable and IMC conduit; replacement of tornado resistant door and security doors; installation of intercom equipment in guard stations and towers; installation of passive deterrent poles; and assisting the Pantex Plant operating contractor in the cutover between existing and new security systems. Work will be performed in Amarillo, Texas, and is expected to be completed by December 31, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the

current fiscal year. There were 45 bids solicited on December 28, 1994, and 4 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa, Oklahoma (DACA56-95-C-0023).

Nations Incorporated*, Tinton Falls, New Jersey, is being awarded a time and materials, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with a cumulative total of $7,500,792 (appropriation number and dollar value will be issued with each delivery order) for telecommunications and automation total package fielding services within the scope and function of the Directorate of Readiness, Force Modernization Division (FMD) mission. The objective is to provide FMD with services, personnel, facilities and material that will enhance and improve total package fielding to meet current and future requirements. Work will be performed in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, and is expected to be completed by April 13, 1996. There were 103 bids solicited on July 18, 1994, and 4 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command, Fort Monmouth, New Jersey (DAAB07-95-D-H006).

NAVY

Sentara Health System, Norfolk, Virginia, is being awarded a $21,353,832 firm-fixed price contract including award incentives for health care services provided to Civilian Health and Medical Program of the Uniformed Services (CHAMPUS) eligible beneficiaries. Services will be provided at various government-owned, contractor-operated clinics in the Army, Air Force and Navy Care (TRICARE) Tidewater service area, and at contractor-owned, contractor-operated clinics around Norfolk, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by September 1996. If four one-year option periods are exercised, the total of the entire contract including incentives will be $101,844,994. This contract was competitively procured with 154 proposals solicited and two offers received. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Detachment Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity (N00140-95-C-N009).

AIR FORCE

The Environmental Company, Charlottesville, Virginia, is being awarded a $25,000,000 Firm Fixed Price and Time & Materials contract for professional architect-engineer services to perform environmental studies and design. The work will be performed in and around Air Force installations in the 50 United States and territorial possessions of the United States. Contract completion date is undetermined at this time. Contract funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The solicitation was issued in July 1993 and negotiations were completed in March 1995. The Human Systems Center, Brooks Air Force Base, Texas is the contracting activity (F41624-95/D-8002).

Foothill Engineering Consultants, Golden, Colorado, is being awarded a $25,000,000 Firm Fixed Price and Time & Materials contract for professional architect-engineer services to perform environmental studies and design. The work will be performed in and around Air Force installations in the 50 United States and territorial possessions of the United States. Contract completion date is undetermined at this time.
