ARMY

Bell Helicopter Textron, Ft. Worth, Texas, was awarded on April 26, 1995, a $10,760,332 modification to a firm fixed price contract for Lot IV retrofit of 38 Kiowa Warrior helicopters. Work will be performed in Fort Worth, Texas, and is expected to be completed by May 30, 1995. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Allison Transmission Division, General Motors Corporation, Indianapolis, Indiana, is being awarded a $24,843,244 modification to a firm fixed price/cost plus fixed fee contract for 100 X1100-3B transmission upgrades, and 12 months of technical representative services. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is expected to be completed by February 28, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Allison Transmission Division, General Motors Corporation, Indianapolis, Indiana, is being awarded a $23,798,250 modification to a firm fixed price contract for 433 X200-4A transmissions for the M113 family of vehicles. Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is expected to be completed by April 30, 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Logistics Management Institute, McLean, Virginia, is being awarded a $7,715,767 modification to a cost plus fixed fee (multi-year) contract for research and analyses to reduce costs and increase the effectiveness of military procurement; material management, logistics and manpower support activities and other related areas; to formulate and recommend changes in

Department of Defense policy relating to acquisitions and support of weapons systems and other defense resources requirements; to develop mathematical models and other management tools for the evaluation of logistics and manpower plans and material requirements; and to appraise the material readiness of the armed forces (in support of the Office of the secretary of Defense and other defense agencies). Work will be performed in McLean, Virginia, and is expected to be completed by January 30, 2000. Of the total contract funds, $976,628 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Texas Instruments, Incorporated, Dallas, Texas, is being awarded a $5,016,000 modification to a cost plus incentive fee/award fee contract for TOW Improved Target Acquisition System engineering and manufacturing. Loral Vought Systems, Dallas, Texas, is being awarded a $14,256,251 modification to a cost plus award fee contract to exercise the option for 1996 engineering services for the Army Tactical Missile System. Raytheon Company, Marlborough, Massachusetts, is being awarded an $8,553,093 increment as part of a $19,795,716 cost plus incentive fee/firm fixed price contract for the Air Traffic Navigation, Integration and Coordination System (ATNAVICS), that will provide Air

Traffic Services (ATS) at Army terminal airfields, landing sites or zones at division, corps and Echelons Above Corps (EAC); and the Fixed Base Precision Approach Radar (PAR) system which will provide air traffic services at Army terminal airfields and will use as much common equipment, modules, line replaceable units and other apparatus as practical with ATNAVICS PAR. Work will be performed in Marlborough, Massachusetts (90%), and Baltimore, Maryland (10%), and is expected to be completed by April 27, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 123 bids solicited on May 4, 1994, and 3 bids received. ITT Corporation, Aerospace/Communications Division, Fort Wayne, Indiana, is being awarded a $6,394,648 modification to a cost plus fixed fee contract for the Single Channel Ground and Airborne Radio Systems Airborne System Improvement Program.
