ARMY
New England Ordnance*, Guild, New Hampshire, is being awarded a $5,410,087
firm fixed price contract for 2,091,744 M21 Artillery Flash Simulators, 98,010
of which are for the Kingdom of Kuwait. Work will be performed in Guild, New
Hampshire, and is expected to be completed by August 31, 1997. Contract funds
will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 32 bids
solicited on January 9, 1995, and 10 bids received. The contracting activity
is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions, and Chemical Command, Rock Island,
Illinois (DAAA09-95-C-0064).
NAVY
Unified Industries, Inc., Springfield, Virginia, is being awarded a $7,171,962
cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for 289,840 man-hours of training/technical
support for the Regular and Reserve Shop Qualification Improvement Programs
(SQIP & RSQIP) and the Onboard Maintenance Training Program (OMT). These
programs provide maintenance training to Navy enlisted personnel at major U.S.
Navy homeports. This contract contains four option years, which if exercised,
will bring the total cumulative value of the contract to $36,125,916. Work
will be performed in Norfolk, Virginia (43%), San Diego, California (35%),
Mayport, Florida (12%), Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (5%), Groton, Connecticut (3%),
and Oakland, California (2%), and is expected to be completed by May 1996.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This
contract was competitively procured with 44 proposals solicited and five offers
received. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting
activity (N00024-95-C-4149).
AIR FORCE
Westinghouse Electronic Systems Group, Baltimore, Maryland, is being awarded
an $8,142,000 Firm Fixed Price contract for upgrade of four Radar Test Benches
applicable to the B-1B aircraft. Contract is expected to be completed May
1999. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
One firm solicited; one proposal received. The solicitation was issued in July
1994 and negotiations were completed in March 1995. Oklahoma City Air
Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity
(F34601-95/C-0222).
