ARMY
Martin Marietta Defense Systems, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, is being awarded
an $8,871,960 modification to convert a long lead funding contract to a firm
fixed price supply contract in the amount of $8,871,960, for 236 remanufactured
turret drive systems in support of the Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Work will be
performed in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, and is expected to be completed by
March 30, 1997. Of the total contract funds, $187,965 will expire at the end
of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on March
28, 1995. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions and
Chemical Command, Rock Island, Illinois (DAAA09-94-C-0444).
The Brunswick Corporation, DeLand, Florida, is being awarded a $16,927,861
modification to a firm fixed price contract to exercise the option for 156
Remote Sensing Chemical Agent Alarms, 30 Detector Cooler Removal Tools, 30
Detector Cooler Holding Fixtures, and warranty. Work will be performed in
DeLand, Florida, and is expected to be completed by February 28, 1996.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This is
a sole source contract initiated on December 24, 1991. The contracting
activity is the U.S. Army Chemical and Biological Defense Agency, Aberdeen
Proving Ground, Maryland (DAAA15-92-C-0058).
NAVY
Cubic Defense Systems, Inc., San Diego, California, is being awarded a
$34,298,176 firm-fixed-price contract for the low rate initial production of
the Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) 2000 Tactical
Engagement Simulation System (TESS), including training and technical data.
This system is a training device used by the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine
Corps to simulate weapon system firing utilizing laser technology. Work will
be performed in San Diego, California, and is expected to be completed by
January 1997. Contract
funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was
competitively procured by a Request for Proposals (RFP) and two offers were
received. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Training Systems Division, Orlando,
Florida, is the contracting activity (N61339-95-C-0033).
Beecher/Mota (Joint Venture)*, Chicago and Waukegan, Illinois, is being
awarded a not-to-exceed $37,000,000 job order contract for general
construction, alteration, and repair of various government facilities under the
cognizance of the Engineering Field Activity Midwest, Naval Facilities
Engineering Command, Great Lakes, Illinois. The minimum amount guaranteed
under the contract is $500,000 for the base-year. Work will be performed in
Great Lakes, Illinois (50%), Forest Park, Illinois (20%), Glenview, Illinois
(10%), Milwaukee, Wisconsin (10%), and associated areas within a 75-mile radius
of the Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois (10%). The entire contract
performance period is not-to-exceed 62 months. This contract was not
competitively procured. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the
current fiscal year. The Engineering Field Activity Midwest, Naval Facilities
Engineering Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, is the contracting activity

AIR FORCE
HJ Group, San Antonio, Texas, is being awarded a $10,000,000 Firm Fixed Price
contract for the Simplified Acquisition of Base Engineering Requirements
(SABER). Contract is expected to be completed May 1996. Contract funds will
not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Twenty-eight firms were
solicited and 7 firms submitted proposals. Solicitation began October 1994 and
negotiations were complete March 1995. The 14th Contracting Squadron, Columbus
Air Force Base, Mississippi is the contracting activity (F22608-95/D0006).
