Raytheon Company, Bedford, Massachusetts, was awarded on May 16, 1995, a
$14,017,000 increment as part of a $39,540,534 cost plus incentive fee contract
with a potential value of $140,244,354 if all options are exercised, for the
Enhanced Fiber Optic Guided Missile (EFOG-M) program. EFOG-M will have
precision anti-armor, anti-helicopter kill capability in day, night, or adverse
weather conditions up to 15 kilometers. The anti-armor feature is emphasized
in this program. EFOG-M is a part of the Department of Defense Rapid Force
Projection Initiative (RFPI) Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (ACTD)
which seeks to provide light, highly lethal and survivable technologies to an
early entry force with available airlift. Work will be performed in
Huntsville, Alabama (44%), Bedford, Massachusetts (23%), Syosset, New York
(7%), Birmingham, Alabama (7%), St. Louis, Missouri (4%), Cedar Rapids, Iowa
(4%), and various other locations (11%), and is expected to be completed by
April 4, 2001. Of the total contract funds, $10,891,000 will expire at the end
of the current fiscal year. There were 93 bids solicited on March 29, 1994,
and 4 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Missile

Loral Vought Systems Corporation, Grand Prairie, Texas, is being awarded a
$36,959,466 modification to a firm fixed price contract for 18 Multiple Launch
Rocket Systems (MLRS) and 294 MLRS Practice Rocket Pods. Work will be
performed in Camden, Arkansas (89%), and Dallas, Texas (11%), and is expected
to be completed by June 30, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of
the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on January
11, 1994. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone
Arsenal, Alabama (DAAH01-94-C-A005).
Allied Signal Aerospace Company, Baltimore, Maryland, is being awarded a
not-to-exceed $8,009,850 modification to a firm fixed price contract to
exercise the option for the acquisition of 200 M818E3 fuzes for the PATRIOT
Missile System. Work will be performed in Baltimore, Maryland, and is expected
to be completed by February 28, 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the
end of the current fiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on
February 6, 1993. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Missile Command,
Redstone Arsenal, Alabama (DAAH01-93-C-0149).
NAVY
Martin Marietta Corporation, Ocean Systems Division, Syracuse, New York, is
being awarded a $6,162,216 modification to previously awarded contract
N00024-88-C-6150 for various spare parts in support of the AN/BSY-2(v)
Submarine Combat Systems Program. Work will be performed in Syracuse, New
York, and is expected to be completed by June 1996. Contract funds will not
expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Navy Ships Parts Control
Center, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, is the contracting activity.
Ultratech Stepper, Inc., San Jose, California, is being awarded a $7,378,331
cost-reimbursement/cost-sharing/completion-type contract for advanced research
and development in the area of low power electronics. Work will be performed
in San Jose, California, and is expected to be completed by May 1997. Contract
funds in the amount of $1,200,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. This contract was competitively procured under a Broad Agency
Announcement (BAA), and 44 offers were received. The Naval Command, Control
and Ocean Surveillance Center, RDTE Division, San Diego, California, is the
contracting activity (N66001-95-C-8002).
