ARMY

Colt's Manufacturing Company, Incorporated*, Hartford, Connecticut, is beingawarded an $8,120,825 modification to a firm fixed price contract for 16,217 M4carbines for the countries of Lebanon and Columbia. The M4 is a lightweightshoulder fired weapon, a compact version of the M16A2 rifle. Work will beperformed in West Hartford, Connecticut, and is expected to be completed byAugust 29, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the currentfiscal year. This is a sole source contract initiated on April 25, 1994. Thecontracting activity is the U.S. Army Armament, Munitions, and ChemicalCommand, Rock Island, Illinois (DAAA09-94-C-0508).

NAVY

Joseph J. Henderson and Son, Inc., Gurnee, Illinois, is being awarded a$6,114,300 firm-fixed-price contract for construction of a machinery repairmantraining school facility at Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois. Workis expected to be completed by September 1996. Contract funds will not expireat the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitivelyprocured with 192 proposals solicited and 10 offers received. The EngineeringField Activity Midwest, Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Great Lakes,Illinois, is the contracting activity (N62467-94-C-0894).

Martin Marietta, Government Electronic Systems, Moorestown, New Jersey -- asubsidiary of Lockheed Martin Corporation -- is being awarded a $6,883,183modification to previously awarded contract N00024-93-C-5108 for FY 94 AEGISWeapons System (AWS) operational spares for the U.S. Navy (30%), and thegovernment of Japan (70%), under the Foreign Military Sales Program (FMS). Workwill be performed in Moorestown, New Jersey, and is expected to be completed byDecember 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscalyear. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contractingactivity.

AIR FORCE

Government Technology Services, Chantilly, Virginia, is being awarded a$153,700,000 face value increase to a firm fixed price contract to provide fora maximum of 100,000 Commercial Off-The-Shelf microcomputers for the Air Forcefrom the Desktop IV contracts. Contract is expected to be completed February1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.Standard Systems Group, Maxwell Air Force Base is the contracting activity(F01620-93/D-0001, P00015).

Zenith Data Systems, Herndon, Virginia, is being awarded a $173,700,000 facevalue increase to a firm fixed price contract to provide for a maximum of100,000 Commercial Off-The-Shelf microcomputers for the Air Force from theDesktop IV contracts. The work will be performed at Zenith Data Systems, St.Joseph, Michigan. Contract is expected to be completed February 1996.Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. StandardSystems Group, Maxwell Air Force Base is the contracting activity(F01620-93/D-0002, P00015).

CORRECTION: On August 4, 1995, contracts were announced to Lockheed Missilesand Space Company in Sunnyvale, California and to Hughes Aircraft Company,Hughes Space and Communications in Los Angeles, California. The announcementstated they were each $23,000,000 contracts. In fact they were each$80,000,000 contracts. The amount for the current fiscal year is$23,000,000.
