ARMY

Minowitz Manufacturing Company*, Roseville, Michigan, is being awarded a$5,406,912 firm fixed price contract for 112 Mine Clearing Blades for thecountries of Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Work will be performed in Roseville,Michigan, and is expected to be completed by April 12, 1997. Contract fundswill not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. There were 25 bidssolicited on March 2, 1995, and 5 bids received. The contracting activity isthe U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Michigan(DAAE07-95-C-X068).

Hensel Phelps Construction Company, Irvine, California, is being awarded an$18,555,000 firm fixed price contract for construction of the Life Science TestFacility, which includes a central test facility with areas for administrativeand general laboratory support and biological defense testing under strictcontainment. Special requirements include an aerosol chamber, a sewage lagoon,emergency generator, special ventilation to maintain directional airflow intocontainment suites, a treatment system for contaminated liquid waste and anintrusion detection system. Supporting facilities include utilities, electricservice, security fencing and gates, paving, walks, information systems andsite improvements. Demolition of three existing facilities is included. Workwill be performed at Dugway Proving Grounds, Utah, and is expected to becompleted by April 13, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of thecurrent fiscal year. There were 66 bids solicited on June 15, 1994, and 4 bidsreceived. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,Sacramento, California (DACA05-95-C-0082).

NAVY

Rockwell International Corporation, Collins Avionics and CommunicationsDivision, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is being awarded a $7,095,280 modification topreviously awarded contract N00019-95-C-0004 for a Reliability ImprovementWarranty for the RT-1556 and RT-1744 AN/ARC-210(V) radio for the U.S. Navy,U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force and the

Government of Malaysia. The reliability improvement warranty will provideincreased radio reliability and a 5-year commercial repair depot. Thiscontract combines purchases for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps (88% );U.S. Army (6%); U.S. Air Force (5%) and Government of Malaysia (1%) under theForeign Military Sales Program (FMS). Work will be performed in Cedar Rapids,Iowa, and is expected to be completed by July 2000. Contract funds in theamount of $1,000,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Thiscontract was not competitively procured. The Naval Air Systems Command,Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.

Hughes Missile Systems Company, Tucson, Arizona, is being awarded a $9,999,898modification to previously awarded contract N00024-94-C-5303 for STANDARDMissile-2 Block IVA engineering services. Work will be performed in Tucson,Arizona through November 1995. Contract funds will not expire at the end ofthe current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command is the contractingactivity.

McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, St. Louis, Missouri, is being awarded a$139,056,372 fixed-price-incentive contract for Harpoon and SLAM Missiles forU.S. Navy and, under the Foreign Military Sales Program, South Korea (24%),Turkey (11%), Japan (11%), Egypt (9%), Bahrain (3%), Australia (2%), andvarious other countries (2% ). Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri(75%), Dallas, Texas (14%) and Toledo, Ohio (11%), and is expected to becompleted by December 1997. Contract funds in the amount of $1,457,136 willexpire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command isthe contracting activity (N00019-95-C-0038).

AIR FORCE

Day and Zimmermann Services, Greenville, South Carolina, is being awarded a$5,080,914 Firm Fixed Price contract for FY1996 vehicle operation, maintenanceand analysis services at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Contract is expectedto be completed September 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end ofthe current fiscal year. There were 75 firms solicited and 11 proposalsreceived. Solicitation began March 1995 and negotiations were complete July1995. Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma isthe contracting activity (F34650-95/C-0025).

GTE Government Systems corporation, Westlake Village, California, is beingawarded a $11,841,011 face value increase to a Cost Plus Award Fee contract forsoftware and hardware upgrades to the Computer Aided Tactical InformationSystem and the Requirements Management System in support of the Department ofDefense Intelligence Information System. Contract is expected to be completedApril 1997. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscalyear. Rome Laboratory, Griffiss Air Force Base, New York is the contractingactivity (F30602-91/C-0134, P00057).
