ARMY

Centex Rooney Construction Company, Incorporated, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, wasawarded on August 15, 1995, a $19,987,500 firm fixed price contract to designand construct the 482nd Fighter Wing Area. The project will consist of finaldesign and fast-track construction of eleven facilities including allassociated site preparation work. Effort also includes asbestos removal anddemolition of approximately seven buildings after construction is complete.Work will be performed at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Florida, and is expectedto be completed by February 28, 1997. Contract funds will not expire at theend of the current fiscal year. There were 67 bids solicited on January 27,1995, and 3 bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps ofEngineers, Mobile, Alabama (DACA01-95-C-0128).

KCA Corporation*, Hopkinsville, Kentucky, is being awarded a $13,991 incrementas part of a $9,527,729 (phase-in & base period), with a potential value of$51,143,422 (phase-in, base year, and four options) cost plus award feecontract for full food and dining facility attendant services. Work will beperformed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and is expected to be completed bySeptember 30, 2000. Of the total contract funds, $13,991 will expire at theend of the current fiscal year. There were 146 bids solicited on July 29,1994, and 19 bids received. The contracting activity is the Directorate ofContracting, Fort Bragg, North Carolina (DAKF40-95-C-0473).

CIVIL WORKS - NON MILITARY

Great Lakes Dredge and Dock, Incorporated, Oak Brook, Illinois, is beingawarded a $1,000,000 increment as part of an $8,769,000 firm fixed pricecontract for dredging-beach nourishment, a shore protection project. Work willbe performed at Venice Beach, Sarasota County, Florida, and is expected to becompleted by March 1, 1996. Contract funds will not expire at the end of thecurrent fiscal year. There were 470 bids solicited on June 22, 1995, and 2bids received. The contracting activity is the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,Jacksonville, Florida (DACW17-95-C-0039).

AIR FORCE

Lockheed Fort Worth Company, Ft. Worth, Texas, is being awarded a $7,849,220face value increase to a Firm Fixed Price contract for the Period II (May 1994- April 1995) Award Fee for production of the F-16 aircraft. Contract isexpected to be completed August 1995. Contract funds will not expire at theend of the current fiscal year. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-PattersonAir Force Base, Ohio is the contracting activity (F33657-88/C-0037, P00869).

McDonnell Douglas Corporation, St. Louis, Missouri, is being awarded a$24,012,679 face value increase to a Firm Fixed Price contract for CY1996 leaseof 420 units of family housing at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, in support of theRoyal Saudi Air Force Technical Support Program III. The work will beperformed at Jadawel International in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Contract isexpected to be completed December 1996. Contract funds will not expire at theend of the current fiscal year. This effort supports foreign military sales toSaudi Arabia. Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base,Georgia is the contracting activity (F09603-94/C-0958, P00013).

NAVY

U.S. Marine Management Inc., Norfolk, Virginia, is being awarded a $63, 076,846 firm-fixed-price (with cost reimbursables) contract for the operation andmaintenance of ten T-AGOS ocean surveillance ships, with an option for twoadditional T-AGOS ships. Two one-year options, if exercised, will bring thetotal cumulative value of this contract to $112,687,576. Work will begin inNovember 1995, and is expected to be completed by November 2000. Contract fundswill not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract wascompetitively procured with 39 offers solicited and six bids received. TheMilitary Sealift Command Central Technical Activity, Washington, DC, is thecontracting activity (N62387-95-C-4001).

General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division, Groton, Connecticut, is beingawarded a $8,500,000 modification to previously awarded contract#N00024-91-C-2902 to provide SSN 23 long lead material to meet schedule. Workwill be performed in Groton, Connecticut, and is expected to be completed byJanuary 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscalyear. This contract was not competitively procured. The Naval Sea SystemsCommand, Arlington, Virginia, is the contracting activity (N00024-91-C-2902).

Raytheon Equipment, Electronic Systems Division, Sudbury, Massachusetts, isbeing awarded a $14,159,811 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the fabrication ofAEGIS Weapons Systems AN/SPY-1 transmitter equipment. Work will be performedin Waltham, Massachusetts, and is expected to be completed in August 1998.Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Thiscontract was not competitively procured. The Naval Surface Warfare Center,Crane Division, is the contracting activity (N00164-95-D-0025).

Jones/Perini, Framingham, Massachusetts is being awarded a $49,383,972 (baseyear), cost-plus-award-fee indefinite delivery contract for procurement ofcivilian emergency construction capability in support of emerging contingentmilitary taskings such as regional conflicts, natural disasters, andhumanitarian relief. With options, if exercised, the total cumulative value ofthis contract will be $246,919,860. Work will be performed at various siteswithin South America, the United States (east of the Mississippi River),Canada, the Atlantic Ocean, Africa, Europe and Southwest Asia and is not toexceed five years. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the currentfiscal year. This contract was competitively procured with 18 offers solicitedand three bids received. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Washington,DC, is the contracting activity (N62472-95-C-5030).
