AIR FORCE

Boeing Defense & Space Group, Seatle, Washington, is being awarded a$7,916,000 Fixed-Price-Incentive-Firm-Target and Firm-Fixed-Price contractmodification for Airborne Warning And Control System (AWACS) IntegratedCountermeasures. This contract will provide modification for the AWACS fleetto a Block 30/35 configuration. This exercises the option for the AvionicsIntegration Laboratory and Test System-3 Electronic Support MeasuresRefurbishment and resolves other contractual issues. Contract is expected tobe completed October 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of thecurrent fiscal year. The Headquarters Electronic Systems Center (AFMC) HanscomAir Force Base, Massachusetts is the contracting activity(F19628-87-C-0030-P00118).

UNC Aviation Services, Annapolis, Maryland, is being awarded a $8,464,268Firm-Fixed-Price with an award fee contract for simulator and academicinstructors for Undergraduate Pilot Training and Pilot Instructor Training inT-37 and T-38 aircraft, and academic instructors for Specialized UndergraduateNavigator Training. The work will be performed at various Air Forceinstallations. Contract is expected to be completed September 1996. Contractfunds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Twenty-eight bidswere solicited and six proposals were received. The solicitation was issued inNovember 1994 and negotiations were completed in July 1995. NAVY

McDonnell Douglas Aerospace, St. Louis, Missouri, is being awarded a$42,924,129 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for joint systems support services forthe AV-8B aircraft for the U.S. Marine Corps. This contract will provideengineering services, labor, materials and special equipment in support of theAV-8B. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri, and is expected to becompleted by August 1998. Contract funds will not expire at the end of thecurrent fiscal year. Grumman Aerospace Corporation, Bethpage, New York, is being awarded a$39,626,696 fixed-price order for the procurement of ground support equipmentto support the E-2C program for the government of France under the ForeignMilitary Sales Program (FMS). Grumman Aerospace Corporation, Bethpage, New York, is being awarded a$19,002,464 fixed-price order for the procurement of additional long leadspares to support the E-2C program for the government of France under theForeign Military Sales Program (FMS). Hughes Training, Inc., Link Division, Binghamton, New York, is being awarded a$8,504,869 firm-fixed-price contract for the block upgrade to the CobraHelicopter Advanced Operations System (CHAOS) of the AH-1W Supercobra weaponssystem trainer. This block upgrade will imporve the visual and computersystems of the AH-1W trainer. Work will be performed in Binghamton, New York,and is expected to be completed by February 1998. Contract funds will notexpire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitivelyprocured by a request for proposals and seven offers were received. The NavalAir Warfare Center, Training Systems Division, Orlando, Florida, is thecontracting activity (N61339-95-C-0093).

Martin Marietta Corporation, Ocean Radar & Sensor Systems, a subsidiary ofLockheed-Martin Corporation, is being awarded a $7,216,883 indefinitedelivery/indefinite quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee completion-type contract forengineering and technical services in support of the Experiment Control andMeasurement System (EMCS). The EMCS is the data acqusition and processingportion of the Intermediate Scale Measurement System (ISMS), a large near-fieldarray facility installed in Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho. The purpose of the ISMSis to evaluate and reduce the detectability of a submarine's active and passivesignature utilizing large models. Work will be performed in Syracuse, New York(70%), and Bayview, Idaho (30%), and is expected to be completed by August1998. Contract funds in the amount of $73,772 will expire at the end of thecurrent fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. The NavalSurface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, Bethesda, Maryland, is thecontracting activity (N00167-95-D-0095).
